    Brilliant result tonight Phil but I'm still cautious, how many times have we seen a team go on a mini run when a manager as been sacked.

    Had that conversation with a Wednesday fan tonight. What bugs me is that those players weren't playing for Flicker on Saturday. I don't care what the issues are behind the scenes, they should have been plying for the people who pay hard earned cash to watch them.

    I know it's about more than just effort... It's luck, it's formation, it's a different team, but some players who clearly performed well tonight, just haven't been performing in recent weeks.

    Agree with both of you that hes given himself a better chance but this results not everything.

    I would prefer the club to hire neither Danny Wilson or Micheal Mellon to be honest.

    Someone totally different. Not a connection to the clubs past at all.

    Some of the players needed to take a long hard look in the mirror as they say Fired.
    Players you wouldn't expect to be like that. Perkins and McCourt been two of them. Just not on it.

    The goals really knocked the stuffing out of them on Saturday, the first 2 being down to M'Voto for me, so it would be harsh to say they weren't playing for Flicker...

    I completely agree. I said on Sunday that some of our players should be ashamed of themselves and had played a big part in getting Flicker sacked.

    I said Nicky Butt on Saturday and that was just because Watkins, Manchester united connections, Butt a Reserve coach at Carrington.

    I think I'm in same boat as you, I would rather have a total change but I think Mellon would be a decent gaffer. Wilson still my number 1 though.
