There were many positives to take away from last night's performance. As always when there are only a handful of us at away games the atmosphere was great. The gang of young lads who are always there were in great voice and sang for the rest of us oldies. We were greeted by Ben Mansford as we entered the ground which I thought was very good of him. He didn't give anything away when I asked him what the plan was. The seats at the Brighton stadium are padded. The big Positive though was the way in which we played - POSITIVELY. Mellis was a revelation and his persistence in getting the ball out to Tudgay and then getting into the box for his goal was something to see. The defence in the main was solid and composed. We had a little spell near the end (7 minutes injury time not good for the heart) when we panicked a bit but we calmed down and saw out the extra time pretty well. Nice touch from the Brighton fans in their applause for the 181 away fans. Also their singing of "You're not fit to referee" as the ref limped off never to return was classic. Only negative point was the train trip back into Brighton and the queue to get on the train.
