It would solve a lot of issues. Yeah let's throw 20 teams out so every premier league club can have 2 teams, pompous tw@t.

He can have one if he wants. But it starts at the bottom of the football pyramid like any other new club. If he can find a league at the level that needs a new team.

If they carry on like they are

    There'll be no need.

whichever way you look at, it's unfair. even if they formed a 'league 3', the conference teams would rightly say 'how come they get installed ahead of us? it's boll0cks, but if there's enough money involved it'll happen eventually

If Man U continue to play the way they have been lately then they WILL be playing in a league below premier level.

    Sooner the fkn better.

A lot of Premier Leagues boards feel they have the god given right to do what they want.

Phil Gartside was a prime example at Bolton when they were in the Premier League.

B teams are a **** idea. It ruins the chances of Blue Square Premier clubs of getting a go in the Football League if they are to start from the bottom and then starting in the Football League is a definite no go. Its the same if Celtic and Rangers come in. A lot of people will lose interest anyway but them starting higher or straight in the Premier League is a good enough reason for people to stop going altogether.

Haha more chance of Dundee United winning the SPL then.

I believe that if Celtic and Rangers are allowed to come in, Scottish football will go bankrupt as everyone's budget is accounting for both sides. All clubs will be trying to enter England and the restructuring of English football will be so farcical, there is a risk of sides finishing in one division safe and well away from relegation just to be relegated anyway because of a number of sides coming down from Scotland, unless they all start at the bottom somehow.

Sorry Twillo but you believe wrong mate. For the past 2 years Scottish Clubs have budgeted their finances without 1 of the bigoted 2 and have readjusted their finances to suit the drop in TV income. We now seem to have leveled things out with players wages at a better ratio to gate and commercial income.

Yep, and we need to have rules in place to prevent clubs having two teams in the same division (I think like Spain and Germany do)...

If you do vote for independence......

.... it will end the idea of Celtic and Rangers ever coming down here.;)

Spanish 2nd teams if they were to win the 2nd div are not permitted to get promoted.

Ha Ha I honestly think that they will eventually get the move they desire.
TV companies will push for it because they would love to broadcast their games in the Premier as opposed to the likes of Barnsley should we ever get promoted.

    In the old days

You had a reserve league ( I think it was called the central league ) so thats where you played your second team. Wouldnt that be a better idea to reintroduce a proper reserve league so that Fringe players and development players got matches - or doesnt it work that way

Just out of interest how do transfers work between A and B teams in the utopian vision of big clubs having 2 teams
