Mellon has (assuming we lose today) an average of 1.5 points per game, which would keep us up easy !! Just saying like !
we need a proper manager. flitcroft was an assistant and melon is a conference and league two manager. we need a championship experience manager
Neil Warnock for me till the end of the season. Need someone to keep us up with vast experience and with connections in the game and pulling power to get a couple of quality players in of his choosing, possibly loans as we haven't got much money as everyone keeps saying....
His accent is *****, but he seems OK, I dislike the accent, its other things that make me dislike the men !!
I was all for Warnock being offered the job, even before these two games, in my opinion i just think that Warnock has the experience that we need to help us survive the drop again. Even if he's only here to try and keep us up while the end of the season i think he's our best bet. However i've been impressed by the two games under Mellon and i think he has set the teams up well for both games, even though we lost today, it seems we gave it a good go, and in the first half at least we controlled lots of the game against a high flying Burnley team away from home. I still personally think we should try go after Warnock, but should he turn us down we should offer it to Mellon. I think Mellon has shown some promise and i would be happy should either Mellon or Warnock get the vacancy.
I was listening to FH on Radio Dee Dah this week and one of the more lucid Wednesday fans who called in suggested that the reason why Warnock was not the man for them was that if he did not start well then the knives would be out because of who he is. For me, this is the same reason why we need a clean sweep this time and appoint Wilson - someone who, by and large, as well as his experience, would galvanise the fanbase. If Mellon is appointed, and we don't begin his reign looking like it is the start of a new maracle survival, then the knives would be out for him because he was the cheap, no vision, option of appointing the assistant again, and there would ne no hope or expectation going into next season. That would be disastrous.
what after one game do you think Warnock or Wilson would have done any better against top of the league a1-0 defeat thank god it,s not your decision.
If you read my post, I am trying to look at it a bit more long term than one game. My reason for not wanting Mellon is not down to him having being in charge when we lost at Burnley. What gave you that idea - I never even mentioned Burnley.
A reason not to want warnock has just crossed my mind. Michael fookin Brown. Sends a shudder down my spine.
