What would you like to see happen? I've said I'm frustrated with the lack of further info from Oakwell. But fair enough I'm sure there's a good reason for it. Now if we lose badly on Saturday what would you like to see? Should we get behind Micky. 3 games isn't a lot and he knows the players better than anyone at Oakwell. Or do we appoint an experienced man that gives us a bit of hope. It has to be one or the other. I don't think letting it run another week would be wise. Times ticking.
If we lose on Saturday MM will be sacked or the preparations to sack him will begin and we will start our search for a new manager.
Given that he was the only one kept on and wasn't allowed to leave when another club approached for him, I would be surprised if it was just to be sacked 2 weeks later. I think he has a future either as manager or as assistant with a view to taking over in the future whatever the result on Saturday...
Really hope we don't keep Mellon...he's not the answer, we need a fresh management and back room staff, to progress
Whoever is manager on Saturday we are going to win. We are due one I think. I'm not underrating Yeovil who are a beat team I just think we will win.
I have to agree and I would give him the job but I know there are a lot of people who don't so a loss to Yeovil would put unbelievable pressure on him and the board. I just feel a loss at home to Yeovil would be something he'd struggle to recover from.
We're guna be league one anyway next year, so fresh management and back room staff for life in league one. A new direction
Scenario: We win well on Saturday We play well and bag the three points. Behind the scenes and in private Ben and co have been doing their homework and due diligence to ensure we appoint the right man and structure behind him. We are off the bottom and have the added lift of an appointment before the trip to Leeds. I not worried how long it takes as I think Mickey and Paul are good coaches and have shown through these last two games a marked improvement in style, formation, playing players in the right positions and improved results. Get it right, no rush. Be patient.
If we're waiting to see how Mellon does over the next couple of games before making a decision on whether or not to give him the job, then those in charge will seriously drop in my estimations. It's a retards way of doing it. They could put me in charge for a couple of games and we might win them. It wouldn't be anything to do with me, the players would win the game. They could put Jose Mourinho in charge and we might lose. Would that mean we shouldn't give him the job? If those in charge think Micky Mellon is up to the task, then give him the job. If they don't, get someone else in. No idea if they're doing this, but I hope not.
It's ok promoting from within if the previous manager had moved on to bigger and better things but to promote the assistant to a previous manger who had made a right pigs ear of things would be a big mistake in my opinion.
