Only player I ever remember posting on here in his own name was Paul Gibbs. It was just after news was released that he was leaving. He basically wished us good luck and thanked us for the support. Some of us returned the sentiment, some gave him dogs abuse. He said he knew he wasn't the best player that ever lived, but at least he tried his best. A bit of a dig at some of the work shy tossers we had at the club at the time.

Don't know if it was really him (how do you prove it?) but he had form in this area, posting on the Brentford forum before he joined us. It certainly seemed genuine to me.

Understand that's what players and staff at t'Well make of your posts...

I think they do, and id like to think it influences what the club do to offer a better match day experience. Forums like this are a free way of conducting market research that I would have thought the club has someone utilising.

However if the club were likely to be influenced by a message board like this in terms of managerial appointments and player targets then they ought to step down now quite frankly.

Sounds like him considering his interview with us.

I know Ben reads it as he said at one of the reds on the road tours he was trying not to read the BBS.

I believe Barry Taylor reads also. (Or at least he used to)

The majority on the bbs who voted! So a sub-group of a sub-group voted for Wilson and the board should be taking notice? Come on. I think fans have more of an influence in making an encombent managers position untenable and less influence on picking their successor. Most club boards/owners are wary of sacking popular managers, although it can be done - see Nigel Atkins, and will get rid once enough people either stop going or make the atmosphere so bad around the club.

Enough people get their "opinions" across to the players during the game, if Kennedy isn't aware of what some fans think of him he must be deaf.
