I can't think of anything positive to hang my hat on. The whole place today had the stench of relegation about it.
You've missed Some truly magnificent games & performances. Unfortunately, they were all last season. Now we look to be in the same mess as twelve months ago. Ground Hog Day.
Re: The club needs to perform Funny you should mention that matey ! http://www.wearebarnsley.com/news/article/4357/popular-magician-set-for-barnsley-show
Re: indeed it IS serious...this like "when the Fat Lady sings" Curvaceous & cuddly, curvaceous and cuddly. Get it right!
Don't take any notice of me, old mate. I know bugger all about football. You watch, we'll go on a ten match unbeaten run now!
Couldn't get today due to work but that's all I need to hear... If BigLil's saying this then it's over, we are royally screwed and heading down! Never thought I'd say this but it feels like we need to plan for League One already.
I was talking to a lad outside the ground and I said everything from the body language of the players, the performance and the atmosphere reminded me of the season that we were last relegated to league one. He said that he'd said exactly the same thing to the people around him in the ground. Even last season, and every season under Davey I have felt like we could survive but I just don't feel anything but despondency and inevitability this season.
A new manager Will have enough games to turn things round. I just feel the general malaise at the club today gave me the impression the towel's already been thrown in by the staff, players & fans. The apathy shown by all parties, though understandable, is totally disheartening.
Re: A new manager The next move our board make is key. You're spot on that there are enough games for a new manager to turn our season around but making the right appointment is absolutely crucial.
Well Twenty four hours later and I STILL can't think of anything positive. Usually, after I've had a sleep, I can suggest some aspects which we could carry forward into the next game. Not this time. I'm glad I don't have to sort out the problems on the pitch, or select our new manager. There are occasions when it's good to know nothing about football and this is one of them. We'll probably beat Leeds now next Saturday.
Re: Well Well, according to HT, Alan Shearer no less said that you worry only when you are not creating chances. So I've no idea why you are worried.
