= Toss Employed as a defender = he can't defend Needs to beat the opposition full back = still not seen him do it Set pieces need to get past first man = they don't Crosses need to be effective = they aren't Needs a shave = he doesn't The lad is toss ! What a constructive post, although if I'd owt constructive to say I would have!
Still don't quite get the anti-Kennedy thing. There were others worse again today. He wasted some crosses but he put across a couple of belters second half that someone should have got on the end of, and second half he had absolutely no out ball which resulted in him having to turn back. He does however get caught underneath the ball too easily at the back post and the defense - as a unit - were all over the place today. Not helped by the non-formation. Poor game but I wouldn't single him out particularly.
Why single Kennedy out for a post like this, he was far from being the worst player on the pitch today.
I hate to victimise a player, but for me he just isn't good enough at LB. Think he's decent in the tackle, and decent in a 3 at the back. Today I've watched him point for the ball to go to other players, when he has had thirty yards of clear space ahead of him. I've also watched him have thirty yards of space ahead of him, running onto a ball, and then check back, when there was no defender to even worry about. I've seen him float pointless corner after pointless corner, and put crosses either beyond the back post, or not even beat the first man. I want a left back to offer more.
My favourite moment today was when he pointed out that he had 2 men to mark as Yeovil headed a sitter over the bar. He was marking neither of them.
I thought he had a steady enough game today and seems to be over the worst of his poor form. Some very good crosses from open play. He just WILL NOT head the ball though, doesn't even try to get off the ground when challenging for it, even in the most desperate of situations; embarrassing at times. Nevertheless, and as others have said, I don't think he should be singled out for being a bad player but I just don't think he's good enough for this level either defensively or offensively. We haven't got an obvious replacement in the squad at the moment, although it isn't inconceivable that Bobby or Nyatanga could player there. We could also re-call McNulty. Perhaps it is time for TK to have a rest, bit of squad rotation etc. I mean, he has probably played in every game since the turn of the year..
I'm sorry but you must have watched a different game. Time and time again like weeks gone past he doesn't run into space he never offers the overlap the furthest he gets forward is when he take a POOR corner. Plenty seats near me for him to sit in. When Golborne left he obviously handed the elastic band over to him. Another poor Keith signing that we look stuck with
Lost count of how many times he was miles out of position today. I'd expect the left back to at least be on the left hand side of the pitch for the majority of the game. Kennedy doesn't seem to agree with that though.
Getting a bit ridiculous, the lad was one of our better players today yet still seemed to get a lot of flack from our section of the stand, at one point he responded by looking over at someone who had shouted something at him with an expression that said "what else do you want me to do", as to be fair he hadn't done a lot wrong.
I dont think you were watching the same player as the rest of us, if you really do think he was one of our better players? OK there was not many good ones, but to say he was one of the best is crazy !!
He was our worst player on the pitch..unfortunately he's constantly ball watching, and his insistence on turning back in constantly really held us back today,I don't like to hammer individuals, but we definitely need a left back.
I wouldn't say he was the worst today..... But he has been in the bottom two pretty much every game, all season.
Witch hunt. Kennedy was better than he usually is today. But let's blame a left back for all that's wrong. His crosses in today were good - they did not hit the first defender nor did they balloon out of play. nobody there though till JYM came on. TK's passing today was as good as anyone's in a red shirt Why not pick on McCourt? What did he do today? Or Ramage - why did we concede the goal? Or maybe blame the goalie for that one? The rest of them must have been so stupendous, so as to to highlight Kennedy as being crap today. All the set pieces without Kennedy were so much better eh? Usually when I watch tv most of the crosses in the box get caught by the keeper. TK took our crosses and none of em ended up in the keepers hands. He put good crosses in all afternoon He passed the ball well He did his job Is he supposed to score the goals as well ? Was he in any way responsible for their goal? Nope. but let's pick on him He is not a family member!!
To be fair I didn't say he was great, just that he wasn't the worst player on the pitch. Perkins, Pederson and Ramage can fight amongst themselves for that particular accolade.
I saw it live too,and while not wanting to single Kennedy out,he simply isn't good enough, neither are one or two others either.
