Butland - 6 - Some good catches and throws but poor kicking and at least partially to blame for their goal.

Wiseman - 7 - Steady performance but lacked confidence at times when going forward in the first half. Should trust his pace more.

Cranie - 8 - Another very good, composed showing.

Ramage - 6 - Really bad for the goal considering his experience. Did some stuff well.

Kennedy - 6.5 - Already posted about Kennedy. Thought he was steady enough but still has some quite alarming weaknesses.

Perkins - 7 - Decent performance. Very energetic, puts himself about but one or two simple errors in there.

Mellis - 7 - Improving. Seeing a lot more of the ball under Mellon. Plenty of stray passes but he's a good player for us. Needs 10% more fitness.

O'Brien - 7 - Did most things right. Made the right runs and passes, and tackles up well, his efforts can't be faulted but his lack of quality is glaringly obvious. His shots were like back-passes.

Cywka - 8 - Our most threatening player and put a shift in today. My motm.

Pedersen - 5 - Poor today and was rightly subbed. Not a winger.

Tudgay - 6 - Didn't do too much and his touch was way off. Nice penalty though.

    I'm guessing they're all out of 100?

Kennedy and Ramage are still 3 too high!

Butland - 4 - Glued to his line, and highly culpable for the goal.

Wiseman - 3 - Clueless. Shambolic in defence, unconfident going forward. Distribution terrible.

Cranie - 6 - Average. Best of a poor defensive bunch.

Ramage - 4 - Hoof it merchant. Belied his experience to contribute to the shambles that led to the goal.

Kennedy - 3 - Terrible passer and crosser. Went awol at times.

Perkins - 6 - Energy levels and overall impact on games has diminished markedly since last season.

Mellis - 7 - Agreed, but effort and impact are very inconsistent.

    O'Brien - 6 - Journeyman, and always will be.

Cywka - 7 - Too lightweight, but agree just about MOTM.

Pedersen - 3 - Lost his way (and his confidence).

Tudgay - 4 - Little impact on the game, apart from tucking away the penalty.

I'd give Cranie a 7, the rest would range from 2-5

I thought cranie was piss poor today

Whenever Kennedy went on a run up the pitch with the ball or was over the other side taking a corner or freekick Cranie didn't move across to provide any cover for him whatsoever and they kept exploiting it all game

If you take 2 points off every player, I'd agree... Except for Perkins who this season has been a shadow of his former self. Opposition knows he won't shoot ever, unless it's the last resort. How can a pro footballer be at 18 yards so often, and not want to shoot?
That makes him, and us as a team easy to defend against.

Couldn't disagree more - he does nothing but clean up after the other 3 who haven't got a clue between them.

The bigger question is which moron is telling Kennedy he can take the set pieces in the first place?

Definitely agree with that. Cywka and O'Brien can both hit them but the worst crosser of the ball in the borough of Barnsley is taking all the set pieces
