His first job is to defend, which he cannot do. He was dreadful today, just unbelievably bad. He was never in his correct position at all.
This post is ridic in parts TK maybe can't defend Needs to beat their FB? - WTF does that mean? His set piece delivery today beat the first man - but that doesn't mean it's good does it? Effective? They were good today Shave - sod that - just slit his throat
In a generic reply to all regards TK, in my 600ish posts on 'ere I've never before singled out or berated an individual player before. Some of the replies are hilarious. Yes other players were poor today, I'm not disputing that! We all watch a 'different' game. I appreciate that. But to mention Paddy, Pederson etc is laughable!!!
In your humble opinion. I detect a witch hunt here (in my humble opinion). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Every player has a bad run of form. Last season I thought he looked a class act. Even in a few games this season I think he's been one of our better players. Granted, set pieces aren't his strong point.
Last season when he played as part of the back three he looked composed and comfortable on the ball. I thought he read the game well and wasn't afraid to stick a foot in. I remember him making a few important last ditch tackles, though don't ask me to cite which games. Not seen too much of him this season, but aside from his set pieces, I wouldn't say he has been particularly bad. Perhaps he's lacking confidence? Or, like others, he's being asked to do things that don't suit him? I don't think he deserves the stick he's getting, though.
Tries is best, but Championship football is probably just one step too far. That's not his fault, he didn't sign himself for Barnsley, he doesn't pick the team and he doesn't assign who takes the set pieces. I think he'd be a very good left back in league 1. I've no problem with the lad, I'd like someone in there of better quality, but while ever he's being picked I'll support him because I know he's giving his all. Can't ask for more as far as I'm concerned. You can ask for better from the manager though.
TK can't put a decent cross in, can't put a decent corner in, can't put a decent set piece in, can't defend........ He is simply AWFUL.
Maybe it's just how I feel today but I've seen him jog lethargically after a ball/dawdle after a ball enough times to question the 'giving his all' statement. He frustrates me more than any of our other players. I have no intention of doing it as I don't like to put myself through torture but to watch on Barnsley player the number of times he switches off and gets caught by a man running around the back of him on crosses would probably total higher than any innings the England cricket team have put together this winter...though again I suppose that's not saying too much either. I'd be playing Hassell there til we can get a new left back. There, I said it.
Strangely enough, he did all of those things yesterday. It doesn't matter how he plays anymore. Certain posters have an agenda and watch the game with the intention of jumping on any slight mistake he may make while completely ignoring the good things he does. It's quite sad. I could watch the match again and highlight all the moments he did well but frankly I've got better things to do with my time than argue with people who are just set against him.
I'd have to watch the game back another 3 times to highlight anything of note he did. Absolutely shocking yesterday, I'm surprised I wasn't thrown out of the ground after telling him what I thought of his performance yesterday. Wiseman still isn't the greatest but he put Kennedy to shame, at least Scott trys to get forward and offer a option. Kennedy gets 10 yard past the half line panics then stands still with 50 yard of open space to run into.
