He was to try and sign Ched Evans (release from the slammer in 3 months apparently) would you back that decision? A striker with a good record coming in. In no way am I kicking off a rumour, would just be interesting to know.

No I wouldn't but I dont think he would care what I thought. Like you say a good scoring record at league one level which is where we are heading.

Then he would try to sign Ched Evans. It`ll tek a week or two before I can influence his decisions.

Given that we've given mediocre players like Nile Ranger, that Scottish coke addict and Kelvin Etuhu games then I'd say give him a chance

I think most would be fine with it, but If he came in and said that ginger lads not championship class and he's free to leave then people would refuse to go until he's sacked

    I wouldn't like it.

I have 2 grandkids that attend games, and I wouldn't like them to start "hero-worshipping" him.

We talk a lot about positive role-models, and I don't see him as being one, and if he started banging in goals, I could see him becoming a hero figure.

From a purely football point, I agree, it would make a lot of sense.

NO absolutely not, I don't even know why I even bothered taking the time out to type this.

Explain how signing a goalscorer is a dilemma?

He's been away from the game so long now, that he probably won't be good enough for any team in the top 3 divisions at least, in my opinion.

But then you're assuming Danny gets the job.

He's got more class than that anyway.

Looks like he's out on Oct 2014.

For the associated negative view this would give people of our club, and because it's a vile crime I can't say I'd want a convicted rapist on our books.

I make no comment on the specific case of Ched Evans. If he ever clears his name, then what ?
