    Last night Wilson hadn't spoken to the club and this afternoon he's new manager.

    I think you're quoting the press conference wrong there mate. Danny actually said the first time they met face to face was yesterday afternoon. He didn't say when he got the phone call. He actually joked that he got there early (a day early he said) to prove how keen he was.

    Having watched the press conference though and listened to a little bit of squirming from Mansford to a couple of the questions, if I had to put my house on it I'd bet that Mellon would have been in Wilson's seat had we beat Yeovil and that the first contact with Wilson was indeed yesterday. Nevertheless, we got the right decision in the end!

    Ah well. He's here now. That's the main thing.

    The spring in my step on the walk back home after work was proper camp. Singing the 'Wilson Wonderland' song in my head, thinking back to being 12 years old in 1994 and that amazing first season under him.

    I hope he turns Tom Kennedy into a reight left back.
