Liverpool, they were all waiting for people off bus, then mugging and attacking everyone. Took gold bracelet off a woman.
Then QPR is not good for getting in and out, surrounded and enclosed by houses and poky streets .

Remember David Johnson scoring a last minute winner at Elland Road, they were climbing fences to get at us the leeds scum, stewards hitting them with sticks to get em back. Also remember them invading pitch in 80's at Oakwell, was on crutches and mi dad took a crutch off me ready to hit them.

Fortunately our coach was OK that day, but I am sure glad I went on the coach.

What was funny was when we were waiting to be let out and one of the brum fans from the stand above us was leaning over the wall, beating his chest shouting come on then you fat b*stard. To which my mate shouted back, 'might be a fat b*stard but I am fat b*stard who's going to Wembley" He didn't take it well. :)

I'd agree with Maine Road. Also St Andrews back when Bassett was manager.

My two most scary away games were Leeds Utd away in 1988 when we won 2 nil, when we played Gerry Taggart in midfield.

It was when they used to put us in the uncovered corner of the ground, right next to the Lowfields & coins came over in showers.
I was with my ex wife & it wasn't nice.

The other was Chelsea as well, but in the premiership. Chelsea fans in the tier above us, dropping bottles of piss on us. We lost 2-0 to make matters worse.

Me and my dad ended up with glass on our lap on the coach after beating Brum in 2000. I found it pretty scary even prior to that, when their fans stormed the pitch. I was 18 and a bit of a gobshite who liked a drink etc at the time, but yes, felt intimidated that day.
Seeing a fella get a brick thrown at him on Sheffield train platform the day we sent the Blunts down wasn't intimidating. Just infuriating. Young chavs lobbing bricks from 100 yards away or whatever. Soft cnuts.

As others have said Maine Road in the cup was not nice and Birmingham in the play offs. Spurs was not nice either, that long walk back to the tube station was very unsettling.

Elland road when we beat the white ***** 2 - 1 in 89/90 was very unpleasant.

Watford walking through the allotments to the away end wasn't all that great.

    Old Den.

Stoke. Both old and new grounds

And the baseball ground used to be a nasty trip.

Re: Valley Parade in the 1970's

Millwall in the 70s wasn't for the feint hearted. Ditto West Ham in the 80s. More tooled up than Screwfix the pair of them.

Went to Anfield in 77 for Wales "home" game against the Jocks - the Joe Jordan handball game. The Welsh FA (based in Wreham at that time) tucked us up by selling tickets to the Jocks before us - and they snapped them up. The 1000 Welsh that went were forced into the top corner of the then enormous Kop (12000 or so capacity?), rest of the ground was full of sweatys. So was the whole city - and the lovely locals were also Scottish for the day. We were attacked all game, non-stop. Whiskey bottles filled the air, a broken one of which embedded itself into my mates forehead. A nice little reception committee was in Stanley Park afterwards as well lol

I've had blades pulled on me from Newcastle to Milan - still mad enough to keep going though ;)
