We have that right. But not on here. We don't have the divine right to post on here. It's someone's private website that they pay money to keep open, while others offer their time to help administer. These people can ban us if they don't like our face never mind over summat we say. We're invited guests in someone else's house. They can throw us out whenever they want for any reason they like. We have no entitlement to use this site, someone is letting us. The fact that they don't ban many people is because they're a decent lot and not a bunch of megalomaniacs. I, on the other hand, am not that decent and would have banned you all years ago. If they make a decision you don't like, tough. They're all working people doing a proper job, the last thing they need is us bairning on at them. They give us this place for free, they run it in their spare time in order to give us somewhere to have our say, they pretty much let us get away with owt, so let's cut 'em some slack. By all means discuss things with them, as I said they're a decent bunch, but don't have a go. If you're providing something free of charge the last thing you should expect is any hassle. And freedom of speech is not an argument you can use for saying what the hell you like. Use that right in the outside world, on here stick to what those who run this place say is acceptable. No one was banned today, someone was simply warned to calm it down because what they were doing was causing busy people a bloody headache. No reason at all for any of us to kick up any fuss. And no, I'm not in a site-admin clique, I know a couple of them by sight, and I may see them every couple of years at a game, but we never get any further than hello.
You're absolutely spot on there, Jay. What I don't get with all these people who are so quick to jump on admin's back, is they're not so quick to help out. This site would not exist without people administering it. I think some people seem to forget that.
Well said Jay. I liken it a bit to being in a pub. People are free to come in and talk to each other, including folk they don't know who happen to be in the same pub. However, if one customer starts upsetting folk with what they are saying then the landlord can throw them out.
I've already applied for a pitch on it...........I think its someones idea of a wind up in the Council
