    There's a big daft bloke wearing a donkey jacket, going on about twitching and his days in the pit, whilst simultaneously calling the men of Barnsley to arms.

    I think he was but it was hard to pay attention as he was riding up and down the bar on a childs pushbike whilst doing the birdy dance to the barman who had once served chris morgan

    Old age???................still good for a Christmas snog (and other things, so I'm told)

    Stood staring along Wellington Street at about 8ish...........and there were a few people milling about.........Wellington Street a few years ago was cordoned off and it was a sea of people.
    Taxi diver tonight said the same thing

    The town is a shadow of what it used to be

    It started to get more busy just after 8............a few years ago the pubs were rammed at 2.

    Really sad for the younger guys that think that this is Barnsley..........it isn't

    Thinking about it............no matter how bad things might seem..........its still got to be light years away from places such as Norwich or Ipswich (thank fook)

    In fact........having thought even more about it..........it were very much better than Derby last Friday neet (had a chat with Terry Christensen that neet) ........and much better than Division Street in Sheffield last Setdi neet

    So I better cross those slippers off the list ageean for this Christmas

    So what you're saying then is that you're gutted that there weren't enough people out pissed up during the day? Personally I wish we had more unemployed, alcoholics and thieves in town these days

    People are going out later everywhere these days because alcohol is expensive but has Barnsley ever been that great for a night out? It's a lot better than Rotherham and used to be better than Doncaster though I've heard that may no longer be the case but when I was younger Sheffield and Leeds were the places to go, plus York's always a good one.

    Gone are the days when it was a challenge to grab 1/2 in every pub in tarn circuit between 7/11 starting off in tracky club (old oneWesley street) and finishing int ring obells happy days lol
