Nudge you are correct Norwich is light years away And the good news is that the drinking establishments are full of a younger more refined crowd , not full of ex tail gate electricians dressed in over priced frank bird attire looking for a final knee trembler Move on ................
Very civilised. Would rather have a night in tarn where people are having a good time than in some oity toity bar discussing what grapes have been used to make my drink. Live a bit
They're slip on pumps. They're not very nice. And, as Eaststand Lower says, a lot of people who like to go to the gym wear them. My nephew wears them. When he went on holiday in the summer he took a couple of pairs of shorts, a few vests, a pair of jeans and 5 pairs of Ninja pumps! I never stop pillocking him about it. And the rest of his clothes. He's getting a bit more confident now, and he's doing the same to me. He likes going to the gym, he's been doing weights since he was about 12, and he's massive, but he's never never hit anyone in his life and he he certainly doesn't take steroids. He's been attacked in town a few times though, not by guys who go to the gym, I guess by people who are jealous/intimidated by his physique and want to prove they're hard. He just stands there and laughs at them. I've told him he's got to hit them back, to defend himself, but he's just not that type of lad. He's quiet, polite, gentle, has terrible taste in clothes, but I don't think I've ever met a nicer lad. I guess you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. I never got body building. I actually bought him his first ever weights for Christmas, but as he got older I couldn't understand why he wanted to get so big. Then I went out with him for a few drinks in town and spent the evening picking myself up off the floor after gangs of lasses stampeded their way towards him. I got it then.
I guess you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Thing is ... I town that's what eveyone does. The lasses who are all over him, the blokes who think he's fair game for a scrap.I'd probably take one look, think ... body builder.... must be a bit self obsessed. I think we are all guilty of that to a certain extent. That's another reason why I don't like the drinking in town thing.
I don't go out very often as I like to spend time with my family but on the odd occasion I do then i like to have a good time. I take it you prefer to sit at the bar nibbling on olives and sipping a nice Sauvignon blanc.
People are probably wising up to Mad Friday being just another day and nothing special. Infact I take that back because it's not just another day because it takes longer to get served and brings out more idiots.
I think bodybuilders look ridiculous, the out-of-proportion bodies, orange skin, the too-tight t-shirts, I wouldn't want to look like a gorilla even if loads of girls were throwing themselves at me.
