In my mind was the comment that (sensibly qualified) 'you've always got to have that dream [of reaching the premier league] ' . Complete contrast to hill and to some extent flicker who would constantly go on about how great the opposition was and how it is such an achievement to finish fourth bottom. In particular hills major faux pas of slagging off the fan base after game 4 in his tenure for 'living in the past'.

It was great to have Danny back in the dug out today. The fans really got behind him. I hope things can work out for us because it's been fairly bleak since he left save for the odd cup run etc.

You've always got to have that dream, it's what it's all about. You reds.

It is still going to be very difficult to stay up this season (even though I now think we have given ourselves a real fighting chance). But, stay up or go down, I have to say I haven't felt this enthused about the future of Barnsley FC for some time.

Not sure what it is you are trying to prove there mate?

I do like this bit though !
"I would like to introduce myself to the Barnsley supporters as a Manager with proven success who is young, ambitious and even more enthused for a greater success in my appointment as your new Manager."
    Deluded fecker !

Agree mate. It's going to be very difficult but we are only 3 points behind. We did well today but are severely lacking in some areas. Danny did well. I thought he should have brought Pederson on for tudgay at about 65 mins but he changed the formation mid way through which countered the changes McDermott had made at half time.

It's a great letter that. When I read it I thought 'brilliant' this guy sounds like just what we need. Within two weeks of his first season with us starting he'd completely changed his tune and I couldn't believe the person I'd heard on the radio was the same man who wrote that letter.

Danny's career has has a few ups and downs since he left us but I thought he was unlucky in his last job and did well at Hartlepool much easier to listen to when he speaks than previous managers although Andy Ritchie was a good orator. I think Danny is the right man at the right time possibly the defining moment of his career.

True. Although I was equally pissed off as him when half the ground booed us off at half and full time against Middlesbrough. Particularly after a much improved second half. I thought our fans were tw@ts that night.

But he should have had a much thicker skin.

And I'm talking about Keith again. I may need therapy. Perhaps it's because the first anniversary is approaching. Difficult times.
