I would go with Jordan Clark. Think he's the only player at that club who's as good has Mellis with passing and vision...

I think Digby will turn out to be Danny's new Redfearn. Clarke is absolutely unproven in first team championship football.

I wouldn't replace him with McCourt p72. For me Mellis will track back in centre and think you need that. Mellis did is duty without the ball on Saturday
I would replace McCourt with cywka.

So is Digby really and so is any young player. You have to believe in them and give them a chance. With Perkins and hassell in the centre you can gamble withsomeone

Mccourt didn't play Saturday so can't be replaced. Or are you saying cwyka to the bench and paddy in his place? I think the role behind the striker is the best place for paddy.

Agree that Mellis is first choice when all available though. Hopefully Digby will get more of a chance under Danny too.

Yes he replaces Cywka for me. Don't think he does enough from the start. If he starts wide with players like Mellis and Clarke he could come inside and they are smart enough to go wide.

Digby is fit but failed an intelligence test last I heard.

I can't see there being wholesale changes after such a good result and solid performance. Mccourt in for Mellis, COG or Pedersen in for Tudders. I am happy to back this manager's selection though whoever he decides to play.

I'm just trying to think outside the box.
Clarke travelled with squad on Saturday and warmed up with team.

I want to see McCourt in a Wilson line up. He can win a game singlehandedly, with the right players alongside him.

With all due respect to Clarke, he's gone out on loan a few times and not seen much action in the lower divisions so I'm not sure he's ready for the Championship.

I reckon Dawson will play instead of Mellis, and possibly McCourt for Cwyka if he's fit.

Not knocking you mate. I hope all our young players get a chance, they are under a manager now who won't be scared to give them a go if he thinks they have got something. You could be right, he might get a game.

Could have done with him Saturday, even O'Brien got a lot of joy taking on their defence, McCourt would have gone round them as if they weren't there.

S****horpe loaned him for cover and to be fair to Jordan players like him aren't suited to that division. The lower you go the more it becomes about strength and booting it. He's not that type of player, he's a silky player ala Mellis.
Mellis wouldn't be at is best in the lower leagues either.

assuming O'Grady is fit I'd like to see

    Butland
Wiseman Cranie Ramage(replace in Jan!) Nyatanga
    Hassell Perkins
    Etuhu (Poss Obrien) McCourt Cywka
    OGrady

    Bench
    Dawson
    Mvoto
    Scotland
    Obrien or Etuhu
    Steele!!!!

Has it come to the point where we'd rather see M'Voto instead of Ramage yet for anyone?

Or maybe Hassell could go to right-back and have Wiseman partnering Cranie?

I think we are one defender short. Ramage did not play well at Leeds. He could move Nyatanga alongside Cranie but then we need a left back who is not Kennedy.

not sure hassell would be quick enough to survive at full back anymore, tbh. he was immense in front of the two centre-halves on saturday. that's his position for me, now.
