I've got loads of smelly type stuff from the kids at school this year, plus some from the husband's sister etc. and there's no way I will use it all (or want to use some of the fruitier smelling stuff), but I don't want to just throw it in the bin. I've tried looking online, but I can't seem to find any actual addresses to take stuff to, or else they have really specific drop off times during working hours. I know I could palm it all off to a charity shop, but I want to take it somewhere that will distribute it to people who need it e.g. a homeless centre/woman's refuge. Somewhere in Leeds would be best, but I know this is obviously a Barnsley forum so I'm willing to drop it off there on a match day. Ta.
A quick google.... http://www.leedswomensaid.org.uk/ Maybe the kids are trying to tell you something!! Sorry Miss, only joking.
Thanks Mr C. I'd looked on there, but the contact page isn't displaying for me, so I skipped it. It may just be firefox though, I'll try another browser.

I could, but then they are stuck trying to sell it on to someone else. I'd rather it go somewhere where they directly hand it to someone who needs it, rather than it keep going through a cycle of being bought for someone, regifted, charity shopped etc, until it eventually ends up in someone's cupboard or a bin. I know someone may buy it from a charity shop for themeselves, but I've always enjoyed giving to places that hand them out to the needy people, rather than sell them on. No idea why, but that's what I prefer.
I never said aftershave, I'm female. Women's aid and charities like it need hand wash/shower gel etc. to hand out to women who arrive with nothing but the clothes on their back.
Save them for your friends/families birthday and use them as gifts. I'm the same, won't have to buy any deodorant until October.
Sorry, I edited before your reply. It's more along the lines of cleaning products, rather than perfume. I've said above I know I could hand it to a charity shop, I've also explained twice why I would rather give it to somewhere else if possible.
I could, but if I don't want it I doubt they will either. I know I'm being picky about not wanting to use asda's own brand shampoo/showergel set etc. but I thought I may aswell give it to someone who does.
Probably nothing wrong with it but sling it if you don't want it. Would probably cost a tenner to post that.
Well I've sent the woman's aid charity an email, and if there's nowhere I can go and drop it off there, then I've seen there's a nearby church that puts a box out on Sundays for toiletries and dry food, so I'll put it all in there.
defo a charity shop, give it to the heart foundation or summat. I gave them a oval dining table and 6 chairs, they got 350 quid for it I got a letter telling me how much they raised and how the money would be used. you may need them one day, even tho' you are only a babby nar
I understand where you're coming from, JD. I think the term 'greatest need' doesn't register with some lives.
