Loyalty, optimism and meeting friends. I was genuinely excited about going yesterday. I was also confident, maybe naively, that we'd win. Fine line between success and failure. Their keeper made an outstanding save at the end of the first half. If that had gone in the atmosphere would have been totally different.

It's like the old saying, innit. If you have to ask, you'll never understand. I always said if we got relegated to League 1, i'd give up my ST. Whether I would or not remains to be seen. I didn't last time round..

As a season ticket holder who has been going to oakwell for forty odd years I understand all right, but when I sit here pondering what team I would like to see turn out on Sunday, I can't find a decent balanced 11 whichever way I look at it. I sit through most games watching the same players displaying the same inadequacies every week and I find myself wondering why I put myself through it. It really is very difficult to find any redeeming factors at the moment.

Roll on January when Danny (hopefully) can start to put his own stamp on the team.

    1) I think I'll always go, no matter how bad we get.

    2) Even if the quality of the football was something that would make me stop going, I've seen us much worse than we are now, so it's not really a reason to stop watching us at the moment.

    3) I support Barnsley, I want to be at the games to be able to do that.

    4) I enjoy it.

    5) Paddy McCourt. I think he's brilliant. Genuinely feel sorry for people who can't see that.

    6) Danny Wilson. Best manager we've ever had. I'm not going to abandon the club while he's in charge.

I am taking my two boys (aged 11 and 8) to watch the Reds v Derby. For several reasons:

    1. I have been watching the Reds since 1966, although not continuously as I left for Uni in 1975 and have lived away ever since (yeah, I know, old father and all that.....).

    2. Although we have been to several away games, my boys have NEVER seen the Reds win (eldest also been to Oakwell couple of times; youngest never been).

    3. About time that the boys saw the Reds win (Kiss of Death?).

    4. I'm not working on Sunday, as I do virtually every Saturday!

    5. Taking brother-in-law, an Arsenal fan, to watch a reight club!!
