    Get shut of lot and start again, when we go down we can have a clear out, there not good enough at this level, lower league players punching above their weight, we need a fresh start, we're trying to compete in championship with a decent league one wage budget.

    Comments such as the above have started to appear over the last month or so,

    But what i can't get my head round is this, why do all the negative b'astards on this forum continue to tell us we're going down because all our players are league one standard, then in the next breath insist we have a clear out, surely if we go down we need to keep as many players as possible, because when we're in league one the only players we'll be able to afford will be league two and below. surely if we already have the players for league one we keep them don't we?, or do you honestly believe our squads not even good enough for league one

    If all our players were placed on the transfer list today, the only ones getting interest from Chsmpionship clubs would be Steele, Cranie, McCourt and Mellis.

    Point is we have the players we have because of the budget we have. If we get rid of, say, Dawson we will be looking at another player from League One. Or a short term loan without the liability of a long term contract. Which is what everyone has said they don't want.

    Wilson needs to concentrate on off-loading 3 or 4 of those who are unlikely to feature at all and use the cumulative saving to bring in one genuine quality midfielder. Players like Dawson will play a part this season. It's fantasy to think we can get rid of half the starting XI and bring in a better quality of player within our budget.

    I expected the likes of RNL Digby and Rose to kick on this season.
    Has their development been stunted by Flitcroft?

    The funniest thing i've heard this year. Physically choked on my coffee, when I read that little belter. He did about as much for youth development, as Jimmy Saville.

    Am sure I read on here, during the good runs of Hill and Flitcroft, posters extoling the virtues of both of them on yoof and player development.

    I remember some of us saying it wasn't so too. They dropped lucky with Butterfield and Stones, the development had been done was the argument. Although that was mostly under Hill, has Flicker done anything with young players while manager?

    Not aimed at thee Ponty, I was probably trying to stop em going way over the top too, but they`re were some on here s punking buckets full on em developing players and now the same tossers reckon they did **** all development wise.
