Flitcroft must surely have spaffed what little money we had. Fox was a waste of money, juries still out on Ramage, Jennings possibly a dud, M'Voto not up to the standard, Pedersen just hasn't scored enough (Scotland would have had lots more than him if given the opportunity) and Butland will have been massively expensive although he was probably a necessity. I know most of those are loans but they still cost money depending on how much of their wages we are paying. Going for broke in January could potentially risk the future of the club, I doubt we'll be breaking even again this year and Patrick's pockets will only be so deep. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a particular area of the pitch that we could put our finger on for strengthening. Yes we could do with a left-back but that's not really going to make a massive difference to us, I'd have hoped Mellis would have contributed a lot more this year but for whatever reason it just hasn't happened for him. With him playing well I wouldn't have any massive concerns over the midfield and I suppose we all hoped Jennings could have been a decent wide player for us. We definitely need RNL and Jennings back though as options as we've had something of a makeshift team in the last few games and they would have given us some more balance.
Not a given I know but he's not been given the run of games that Pedersen has. Pedersen does have a lot of quality but it's strange that the only two goals he's scored have been collectors items. A striker who can head a ball on target under pressure from the keeper would be a lot better for us.
17 days (3 Games) to appoint a manager who had been out of work for over a year. 6 weeks and counting to count a few votes and tell us which badge won a vote they wanted us to take part in, Chances are they don't know if we have the funds and it could be 31st of January before they find out
I'm struggling to think who would want to join us, who is better than we already have? I'm of a mind to persevere with Pedersson, he needs a good run in the side and we need to get Big Chris off that left wing and into a striker's position.
No I don't believe there is any money. The first time Danny took the job he was told there was no money. I understand he's been told the same this time.
We've little choice but to persevere with Pedersen. Even if that means not playing him. He's here until the end of the season, and it's cost us a pretty penny. It's time the lad pulled his finger out because after a couple of early signs of promise, he's been no better than Dagnall, who the vast majority on here named 'dogshit'. He's certainly not getting a move to the Premier League, as he planned. Danny got the best out Fjortoft after his last Christmas period as BFC manager. Let's hope he works his magic similarly with this Norwegian international.
We keep spending all the transfer funds on compensation packages for sacked managers! In regards to that, will the amount paid to Flicker be reduced because he's immediately taken another job?
Spot on id say..in case we go down....don't be too surprised departures in Jan too...anyone and everyone will be aloud to leave me thinks.
The only player worth owt id say would be O'Grady.and maybe Crainie but to sell em both wouldn't net ya any where near the 4mil short fall we'ed need... Mellis, McCourt , not on long enough deals to get owt for..
I think all managers/players should be paid based on performance. We'd be loaded if that was the case.
