After what happened last season I'm sure many more will rally to the standard. Coyr

    Re: Works for me, mate

I don't believe it'll require 55 points to stay up this season. I believe we have a good, experienced manager who is capable of getting more out of the current squad of players than we've seen so far this season. I believe in Danny Wilson's abilities & determination to turn things round and move us up the table. Proof? I have none. Faith? I have it in abundance. When discussing Barnsley Football Club, I'll openly admit I see things through rose tinted spectacles and I'm a born optimist. But at least I admit it. The pessimists never have the bottle to admit what they are.:D

Id settle for 45 points and sweat on that this season we need to get something tomorrow and have a good record against Derby at home.

I'm only concentrating on tomorrow's game. All the other matches are an irrelevance until they have to be played.

Bizarrely, I still think we'll finish mid table.

    It's all about momentum.

It'll be nearer to 45 than 55 this season. The league table isn't so concertina.

I agree. I can't see us, Wednesday, Yeovil, Donny, Millwall, Charlton etc going on the kind of runs we did last season.

Can't believe we've not beaten any of those five clubs. Four of em at home. Says it all really.

I've been saying it for a long time and I still believe it.
Doncaster and Yeovil for the drop.
Not sure who else but I don't think it will be Barnsley.

I also Believe this squads massively underachieving, I really think theres a lot of quality in the squad.

I said Wednesday, Doncaster and Millwall back in the Summer. I'm sticking with those three. I think us and Yeovil will be safe. I hope so.

TBH mate, Flitcroft has proven his football & man management skills had been lacking, so he may have been wrong about RNL & Jennings? Who knows>

    In the Barnsley squad?
Nyatanga Cranie Wiseman Mellis Perkins(Yes a lot will not like that) RNL Digby Jennings (don't think we've seen anything from him yet but think he will be quaility) O'grady and I hope pedersens will come good. He must have something to be a full international.

had a couple more players in and balance the squad it will be good.

Paddy, Steele and Hassell were the first to pop into my head. Did you forget about them, Phil?

Plenty of quality in this squad. Just need organising. And some belief.

    I've got faith in them.

Mellis plays Boxing Day and we beat Bolton. He was the sole reason (or, the fact he wasn't playing) that we went direct so often second half. He and Hassell made us tick at Leeds. Without players of their ilk, who pass forwards and along the ground, especially when O'Grady plays, our other players have the habit of playing it long/safe.

Hassell, Mellis, Paddy and O'Brien in midfield tomorrow and we'll at least look to play football. And fingers crossed Nyatanga returns. Three times the player Kennedy will ever be.

Paddy Cold freezing Hot for me Whitey. Not what I like to see. I actually squealed the other day.

Steele looked good the other day. My only thing I would say is he starts so deep when the opposition are taking corners. Things i've noticed from other Goalkeepers is that a lot of them start a couple o yards higher up than Steele which really helps them. A prime example of this is De Gea at Manchester United. A little bit taller than Steele but hes only a slender frame like Steele and it's helped him.

Hassell. Great brain but not a top player in the squad for me. Good DM. In the second half on Thursday he got drawn in a little bit a went to ground and totally missed the ball twice. One of those happened shortly before Dawson got the ball and made a great run up field.

In your opinion, I don't share that Redstar. Wisemans a very good full back in my opinion. Blame the goal on him all you want on Saturday but he went to close down one player and Danns got the ball and scored with a great strike. It happens.

    But February made me shiver
    With every paper I'd deliver
    Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step

That Don Mclean was a right miserable fukker as well.
