How about his accent ? ;)

I agree with you, but we were not doing that were we, because we were not sticking with what he wanted to do, he was as mixed up as the fans were at the end !

To be honest that wasn't a Keith Hill post, just what I think we should do. There was a lot of talk about Tisdale when we appointed Hill. Maybe things would have been different because Tisdale wasn't a loud mouthed big head.

My dream is fan ownership. Which means living within our means. Which nay well mean league one

We *are* a club like Preston - both are from small northern towns with small fan bases. Ok, at the moment we are higher up the league than them, but they have (historically) had more glory years in the top flight than we have (Actually, Preston are the 4th most successful English club of all time domestically even if they last won something in 1938!!).

At some point, Preston will get the right combination of players and manager and win promotion to this league and maybe higher up. So could Coventry, Bradford, Wolves, Sheff Utd, Oxford, Portsmouth, Rotherham and Plymouth - all of which have been in our division or higher within the last 30 years. If we have to have another spell in the lower league to come back stronger then that is what we have to do, but I think we will all be happier if we can put something in place that looks like it will work long term.

Your right. I was just using Preston as an example. They went down and they have floated about mid-table for a few seasons. I wouldn't expect us to come straight back up.

But were the board supporting him, or did they lose interest once the consequences of a league one budget became apparent and wanted to deflect blame? I reckon him losing his way was linked to the disharmony behind the scenes. And he was probably as much to blame

The budget was the same as under Robins. What changed was the willingness, rightly or wrongly of The Owner backing managers above and beyond the budget.

Last published accounts May 2012- wages £7m Keith Hill's year

Wages May 2011 - £8.2m Mark Robins last year.

To quote Dave. Plus a lot of that 7m would have been on ***** like Lovre and Jay Mac. Point is 7m wage bill is likely to end up with league one football.

I know the figures. Those are the actually and not the budget therefore the difference was the withdrawal of The Owners ADDITIONAL support

I'd have Jay Mac back now!

Sorry mate.. but that dream would be a nightmare...It would never, ever work, and would be the end of BFC as a professional league club. Never mind in league one

Possibly so. But isn't it better than being exposed to the whim of some rich owner? To be fair under an individual owner you can't hope for much more than someone who is a fan and isn't saddling the club with unsustainable debt which is what we have.

Agree completely, they ought to give Danny a 3 year contract tomorrow and give him licence to reshape the complete squad over time.
