Why am I not surprised? My young grandkids come with us. No allowances made whatsoever. Mostly I'm proud of Barnsley. But at Oakwell there is a sub-human element that makes you just cringe.

Sorry but please don't group everyone together.
In the second half today a little kid was sat next to me and I never used bad language once even if I might have without the little kid been there.

He's not grouping everyone together - sub human element means part of the crowd not everyone

Make sure they never swap the food. Tried Burger and pie again this season and it's decent food.

He's not. That's why he used the word 'element'. It means part of, not the whole.

I take my kids to footy and rugby. They will hear swearing. Its to be expected.

i got reprimanded at half time by the lovely security lady once. to be fair, i did lose my head and go a bit mental. but i don't get any grief, as all my other observations are incredibly well informed, and the people round me fully recognise that i know my $hit.

Is that the same "stuck old biddy" who also paid for a seat and doesn't need to hear expletives at every turn? Yes, you can expect to hear the odd swear word, it comes with the territory going to a match, but it shouldn't be so vulgar and so often that it spoils it for the other decent folk who are there. Sorry, but I'm with Old Gimmer (and HT) on this. A bit of respect for who is around you wouldn't go amiss, IMO of course.

To be fair though there's nothing clever about failing to modify your behaviour if it is making people uncomfortable.
