Good question. In no particular order:- Suffocation - Pinnacle Of Bedlam Gorguts - Coloured Sands Alice In Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here Carcass - Surgical Steel Vista Chino - Peace
Always impossible to rank these sorts of things but here are some that I like a lot: ALBUMS Cloud Control - Dream Cave Trwbador - Trwbador Franz Ferdinand - Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action Euros Childs - Situation Comedy Charlie Boyeur & The Voyeurs - Clarietta SONGS H. Hawkline - Ghouls Manics - 30 Year War Vuvuvultures - Stay Still Parquet Courts - Borrowed Time FIDLAR - No Waves

First impressions I like Parquet Courts. Also just getting into MBV which seems monumental. I don't like Savages tho, they just sound like a poor man's Kim Gordon to me
Euros' interests me- I heard his session on Marc Riley and he seems to have gone a bit Gorky's whimsical again?
The civil wars - the civil wars Arctic monkeys -am My bloody valentine - MBV Country soul sisters 2 - various Laura marling - once I was an eagle.
Got back together in 2006. Jerry Cantrell does most of the vocals now. Not the same but better than nowt.
Five songs I really liked off the top of my head- "I think I knew" & "Are you with me now?": Cate le Bon "So good at being in trouble" Unknown Mortal Orchestra "Obsidian Currents" Of Montreal "The Sing" Bill Callahan "Indie Cindy" Pixies
I really liked that album with "sick man" on it back in the day. I was always into alternative and "grunge" but I loved their sound, proper dark and desperate rock n' roll
opinions are weird things eh. i saw savages in 2012 and they totally blew me away. personally think they're the best new british band for a long time (even though the singer is french).
All of his solo albums can be downloaded for free (you can donate some money if you like what you're hearing) on his website! http://euroschilds.co.uk/ I gave up with his solo stuff a long time ago when most of it was just too weird, but the new album sounds pretty good from what I've heard so far... I'll have to check it out properly some time soon!
NIce one mate,I'll have to go check them out. I didn't know they were big in Finland! Euros is one of my favourite singers, I love the Gorkys. I once drove up to Aberdeen for a valentine's day gig with an ex girlfriend which destroyed her car. They were selling their T-Shirts out of boxes and looked so pissed off!
on that note if you like off-kilter welsh pop/ rock you should check out cate le bon's latest- I don't love all of it but it has some great songs on it. the "welsh nico"
So far on this thread I have heard of Black Sabbath Paramore Artic Monkeys Laura Marlin Joe Bonamassa Biffy Clyro Franz Ferdinand Oh and One shitty direction. I have never heard of any of the others at all !!! I am an old basket !!! Right I am off to drink my Horlicks !!
