just wanted to say how good it was been in that away end yesterday. Before the match there was lots of laughing and people talking to each other unlike Oakwell where everyones like you've nicked a 10 pound note. During the match the reds fans were a lot more positive too. getting behind the team singing ect. Really nice to be part of. Just seems so different to oakwell when all you seem to hear is people just constantly having ago at the players.
I'm not saying that Extremely Northern so please stop that. I'm saying they get behind the players during the match. I honestly different hear one scream yesterday having ago at the players.
im sure you will. your reply to hemsies post certainly indicated that. yes there is grumbling at away matches. Hemsy however makes a valid point about yesterday.
To be fair a lot of the people I saw yesterday were completely munted after not bothering going to bed on NYE!
What is his point though ? That some fans moan whilst others don't ? Stop the actual press. Or the amount of grumbling is inversely proportional to the crowd size ? Perhaps someone could do a study. Dickety Dick.
To be fair, I don't particularly like it at Oakwell, it's like a graveyard at times. I get myself all excited about going and then it all feels as flat as a lead balloon when I actually go inside. I guess I just haven't found the best place to sit yet; I don't really want to sit in the Ponty (although that does seem loudest) as you don't get the best view, sitting in the East Stand though is just depressing. I really enjoyed the Leeds away match though, great atmosphere there.
Extremely Northern found eith psnts down early in the new year It was a lame effort but when the tide went out he was found not to be wearing trunks
Depends where you sit - my part of Ponty is excellent, if a little politically uncorrect at times, the East stand is a collection of moaning bas-tards though..... Dunno, it's always been the same - remember going with me Dad and thought Oakwell was just a collection of grumpy old men - now I've been going a few decades I see why... It'd just be nice though if folk could praise the away following without having a go at other fans.
I used to really enjoy the away games but those days have gone for me. I used to have a day off work to go to night matches at Colchester and Brentford. Now I'm glad that there's a good chance I won't have to go to the Wigan game.
Unfortunately I'm not as eloquent as you. If you continue to mock my inferior intelligence I will be forced to notify site admin.
