Positives: We have Jan transfer window to do some tinkering with squad All of a sudden our goal difference is not significantly worse than most around us. I believe once we win our first game under Wilson we will put a run together Negatives: Sorting out our back 4 may be near on impossible as all look dodgy Similarly our forward line just isn't working- need to send Pederson back and get someone in who is right for this league We'll need double the amount of points in the 2nd half of the season than we got in the first We've played the **** teams at home already and not won- Donny, Yeovil, Wednesday, Charlton, Bolton, (Birmingham). Will need to beat these sides away to have any hope- starting next week (a point at Brum was a reasonable start)!
22 games left... we need to win 10 of them and draw 7 that would give us 54 points...and that will be close at that. We have a margin of 5 games that's all. I cannot see us getting out of this one.
Re: 22 games left... we need to win 10 of them and draw 7 We've won three in twenty four. There is no way we will win ten in twenty two.
Re: 22 games left... we need to win 10 of them and draw 7 ooo yer negative bugger, we were just getting warmed up !
Re: Why? last season we did but that was unusual. In 2012 49 would have stayed up if pompey hadn't been deducted 10 2011 48 2010 49 2009 47 50 will possibly be enough
Re: Why? well we need 50 + Kev that's still a tall order to get 33+ from 22 games, and 8 of those games are a bit tricky too. Wigan Hudds Leicester Watford Reading Burnly Derby QPR My heart says its possible to get above 3 other teams, but the statto in me is finding it hard to support that belief. God knows I hope my heart wins here.
If we don't go for it We'll never know. Perhaps we ought to simply write 'F**k it' on this season and plan for next season in Division 1. Perhaps Danny Wilson and the players already have. If so, they can't be criticised by fans who have done the self same thing. Or is it a case of 'Don't do as I do, do as I say'? I can't offer any scientific or mathematical proof we will survive. I simply have faith. Faith in Danny Wilson, faith in his managerial abilities to get the best out of players at his disposal. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong.
well as far as I am concerned If we go down then that heartbreak would be massively cushioned if Danny Wilson stays with us to try to get us back, or to build us up again for the future. If he goes however then that I would find hard to take. We need a long term plan, not a quick fix. I realise some will keep bringing up the fact that Danny went to Hillsboro'... but I think that there is still a real chemistry with him and Barnsley. To that end if its league one with Danny next term then that's ok by me.
