Know a Liverpool fan who was there. Hull fans started it, Liverpool fans finished it. Nothing would have happened if the group of Hull fans causing trouble behaved.

Message from a group called Hull City Ultra's says it all.

I saw first hand near the courthouse a few seasons ago Hull fans starting something Barnsley fans finished after a game on Sky. Think a 1-1 draw with Hammill scoring a beauty.

Whoever started it there is never any excuse for using weapons / throwing bricks, etc.

It's Hull fans starting something they couldn't handle. If Hull behaved it won't have happened.

Disgusting whichever fans were involved but don't look to the daily mail for any balance.
The unortnate fact is most I not all towns/cites etc are capable of producing such scum but the mail likes to scapegoat in their stories.

Brings about typical responses as well - admittedly I saw trouble in 82 - not on my last two visits. Seen worse trouble at maine road - coins raining down the entire game , Barnsley fan lying in a pool of blood outside the ground. I've picked out city because in my experience it's tge worst I've seen - all clubs have a lunatic fringe unfortunately

Swings & Roundabouts, I suppose that's never happened at Hull. But I do feel for the poor supports caught up in this. Its always the innocent one's that it happens to.

What do folk reckon regarding Barnsley having a "lunatic fringe"? I've always felt that the majority of the trouble is a small group of chavs without much bite as opposed to having a group of "Ulltras" or anything so juvenile. Can't imagine must as embarrassing as having a proper "firm"

Can remember reading the Yorkshire post sometime in the eighties I think,
They published the names and adresses of all those that had been arrested connected to the match and there was quite a few from Tarn

(Bournemouth match v Leeds.) Sorry having problems with my tablet

It'll be the fault of the South Yorkshire Police, or someone's been hiding the real truth, let the Liverpool fans fight for justice and clear their name.
