3.30 for a bottle of acorn, surrounded by reds, putting money back into club Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I put money back into the club as I have done for the past 18 years but I refuse to pay 3.50 a can when you can buy 8 for a fiver.
Yes on both counts, plenty of large TVs and a projector screen with Sky Sports on. Despite what somebody else mentioned, the beer I've bought in there has always been cold.
Yes they do show sky. Large projector and multiple 42 and 50 inch plasmas. Children are allowed now providing with an adult. You also get a discount of 30p a pint if you show your supporter's trust membership card if you have one.
Not sure. They did have acorn on draught last year. They have a couple of problems in there: 1) If they dont sell a complete keg/barrel then its wasted due to the usual time between games. 2) They have to remove all alchohol from the premises after the game as its a youth center the rest of the time. I guess if people use the facilty more it could become a viable option.
Yeah me too. It's not ideal having bottles and cans but there are reasons for it. Pie and peas are alright in there as well BTW, not that I'll be eating them now I'm signed up to Fit Reds
Went in last week and, in a word, it's crap - don't bother. Too bright, too expensive, nothing to look at other than SkySports and it's laid out like an airport waiting area. It also doesn't actually have 'a bar' in it. I don't really get it at the moment - hopefully it's just a work in progress.
why would you want to try and actively talk people out of trying it? if you don't like it, fine. but why try talking people out of going and spending money at the Club? weird.
Gally, they (bar staff) told me last week that the 30p off was a one off when it opened up to ST's (they thought) but they let me have it for 30p less when I said it wasn't. Someone ought to tell the manager to advise their staff accordingly.
Tried it a couple of times and it's a work in progress more of a canteen feel. But I presume the more people who use it the better it will become.
