Aye we were caught up in that at the courthouse, nobheads. We had to walk right through the middle of them with my 11yo niece and pensioner father. I had my scarf on too, luckily they were too busy attacking the courthouse. Anyone who goes to football and causes trouble is a lovely person as far as I'm concerned, I just don't understand why football makes some people so hate filled.
Worst trouble I saw at oakwell was prem season when liverpool came to well dont think people set out before game to cause trouble was just willard ruined the game for us and then owen insigted the crowd the game in the play off season vs man city had a hostile atmosphere too from both sets of supporters
Yeah Ponty72. I was walking past opposite court house as they ran past back towards train station. They then tried running from groups of our fans going for then in the opposite direction. If police had anything about them that night everyone of them abound have been caught as they all sat together in a group away from the rest of Hull fans. I went to Hull in the league one season and it was lively in and outside of the ground, Wednesday fan I know said Hull fans tried attacking Wednesday fans on the walk to the car park if u can imagine the walk through there if u have been.
Can't see what Hillsborough got to do with this - especially comments about south yorkshire police when it has been proved that statements were doctored
The Hillsbro` enquiry proved that the Police made it up, the Liverpool fans were not angels but they didnt deserve to fecking die mate!! The SYP were a disgrace to the Police that day and since then. I could have understood if you had used Heysel , but Hillsbro` is just wrong mate
But police always tell the truth about what happened at orgreave, trade union cases oh and tory ministers. Pity they don't pursue the police with as much vigour as they did with the later case
Hull City Ultras. Hmm...doesn't really work, does it? Sounds odd. They could call themselves 'Hulltras' - far more menacing and much easier to say. I might suggest it to them.....anyone got an address?
Point taken, however I do consider they were in a no win situation if someone had been crushed outside they would have been slaughtered for that It is easy to be a genious with hindsight but syp should have been more proactive in alleviating congestion at the turnstiles perhaps but holding the crowds up onleppings lane in a manor similar to the way the met manage Wembley way after events at Wembley Perhaps my view on this is tarnished as I had a mate that worked that day and he has never been the same since
They could have been more proactive you are right but why doctor the statements? Just shows there are things to hide. Sorry about your friend but a lot were affected that day - lives were lost - they just want the truth told about what happened not lies
