After nearly 30yrs after the miners strike , papers released today have exposed the real truth about Thatchers pit closure list . I personally never doubted the cause of the strike , but this news has put a smile on my face today . JUSTICE
That was the fundemental argument from the Tories in particular thatcher and the coal board that Scargill was lying about the hit list. Never mind the arguments that came after or the lies that the Tories and their media machine were putting about Scargill that was their argument they put to the country. It beggars belief that still people talk of Scargill as the antichrist. Who were these people well let's see, South York's Police, wonder what happened to their stories (lies) Robert Fekin maxwell what happened to him (and inperticular the pension fund he stole whist writing lies about the miners) oh yes and then we have Neil Greatrex the thieving bstd. And then the whole Tory party who were selling Britain to the highest bidder. But yo only have to look at some of these posts to see the sort of people who were w...ing over stories about The striking miners and in particular Scargill.ffs
Seriously your previous post is extremely ambiguous to the extent that's have no idea of the point that you are trying to make
What's that supposed to mean? The likes of me By that I take some one that whole hearted supported the miners and stood on a picket line
What's not the truth .? I,m from Barnsley originally . Did you tune into calendar tonight . Don't try calling me a liar FFS
I think it was right that the miners fought for their jobs but on the other hand you have in Scargill, an egotistical Marxist trying to bring down a democratically elected government with funding from our enemies at the time Russia and Libya, no government is going to put up with that, a Labour government wouldn't have.
Everyone saw the army In the riot vans during the strike To say that they were considering was a lie They we're the're alright
The funding was for miners and their families who the Tories were trying to starve. The miners were already on strike the union were playing catch up Scargill was only a piece in the jigsaw. Miners at manvers and others had already been on strike 5 weeks. Some of the arguments lie yours are tiresome and have just come off the pages of the Tory propaganda book of how to turn the working class on themselves
At least Maggie got rid of our coal industry eh - who needed coal anyway ? Far better to throw 200,000 miners onto the scrap heap Lets have a dash for gas , that will be good , cheap electricity for all and lower bills - thanks Maggie .....................oh hang on Today - UK generation 50% coal / 15 % NUCLEAR / 11% WIND/ 9% GAS/15% INTERCONNECTORS AND OTHERS What great foresight she had - here we are now importing coal for 50% of our countrys energy needs , importing expensive gas to generate expensive electricity Some fools on here still think she did a great job , next time you moan about your electricity bill , think of maggie
