Trying to decide what to wear in February while at Karneval in Germany. Hip hop clowns was one suggestion. All ideas welcome, however silly! Some great ideas found here so far: http://www.copycatcostumes.co.uk
Oooh fancy dress is so my thing!! I used to go out in fancy dress every fortnight on a Wed as part of the Leeds Met Dance beer circle. What theme are you wanting?
Absolutely no idea, I'm up for anything(ooerrr)! I don't think any of your old costumes would fit me though
I've done policewoman, robber, cowgirl, builder, moulin rouge, pirate, slave girl, toga, army, angel/fairy, miss santa, cat... too many to remember. (You might want to do the male counterpart though )
How many of you are going? Is it a group thing? If so a theme could be good (I can think of some if you need) such as cicus, film/pop stars, sports, countries, pimps and hoes etc. Or do you need couple fancy dress e.g. romeo and juliet etc.
3 of us going, we were thinking cartoon characters too, but something the Germans might recognise too! I quite liked the hip hop clowns idea, especially considering I can't dance to save my life.
That does sound quite fun, and would fit in with a carnival theme too. I once did a 'hip hop' style fancy dress, definitely just looked more like chavs though with our chains haha.
Fancy dress is my speciality, always go as the same thing... Go as the invisible man and don't turn up !!! Saves you a fortune
We got the idea from Karl Pilkington's Moaning of Life. We've booked a 4 day trip which includes Karneval, 2 football matches and an ice hockey match. Can't wait.
The Germans LOVE Mr Bean. I went skiing in December where there were loads of Germans and took a Mr Bean mask. I could have sold it 20 times over. Unfortunately I lost it in a snow drift following a particularly embarrassing fall.
