Actually they do try to get a balance in the audience if you've ever applied to go on, but they can only go so far as the people who apply to go on and basically people on the left are generally more engaged in the process.
That does not though have anything to do with Nick Griffins appearance on the programme.

What I find is that, whatever the government of the day is, they are critical and questioning of that. So, for example during the Labour government there was a lot of anti-government debate and questioning on then.
