Took the little one today to her first match at Oakwell (child abuse!) and come back feeling ashamed and embarrassed of the club I love, more than ever!

Firstly, playing it safe we decided to sit in the 'family stand' only to be turned away at 2.30 from the box office saying that they would let me in but not my little girl as the deadline for U12 tickets was 2pm. Correct me if I'm wrong, but can't concessions pay on the gate every week without having to 'pre-order' tickets?! Disgusting way to treat a little kid who by this stage was in tears! In the end the box office girls gave in and let me buy the little one a ticket (with a lot of bad looks, moans and groans at having to do so) and we made our way into the east stand for some chips to cheer her up. No chips. The family stand of a football ground and they had no chips. Idiots must run the place! Not the most important thing in the world but strange in its own way!

We all know about the dramas on the pitch and it's still daylight robbery to think they've took £20.00 of my money for that shower but the thing what has upset me mainly today was how my little girl was treated by the fans around us today in the east lower. The looks she received and the remarks made to her (she's 7!) just shows how pathetic, small and immature some of our fans are. To make matters worse they decided to come and sit straight in front of us ten minutes after kick off restricting her view basically on purpose and were wailing abuse, bad language and after Coventry's goals punched and kicked the chairs infront of us that much they've put her off coming back ever again! The stewards saw all of this and turned their heads to look the other way!

Shocking that the club reduce the tickets which will in a way attract more fans or the stayaways and then allow a disappointing experience like this to happen. I used to love going to the 'well as a young en and wanted to start giving my little one the experiences I had as a kid.

I just hope some people who have helped make her day into a disaster see this and feel ashamed of themselves!

So sorry to hear that. Absolute scum. Please write to Barnsley. Open letter in fact. And get them to investigate who these fans were and the stewards that did nothing.

It's time to do something about the thick idiots at Oakwell who ruin it. Would happily have them banned. Don't want their money. It's rotten to the core.

Yeah I saw that (still don't understand it mind) but hadn't seen on the website, twitter feed or facebook page that we had to buy them before 2pm! What do they expect us to do for a good hour, theres only so many times you can walk around the club shop!

When my lad was small I thought it might be a good idea to take him in the family stand...did 2 games... the parents were the biggest ar***oles in the ground.

Do we actually have a family area any more? You never hear it mentioned officially these days.

Family stand went a long timee ago I think - some adults need to have a look at themselves - been in the Everton family stand a few times and it's the same there - adults behaving appallingly. Stewards are next to useless but try having a bottle with you and they'll be on you like a bad overcoat
