I'm not making excuses for the players, because 2nd half was atrocious, BUT, had that curling effort from Tommy gone in, instead of bouncing back off the post, I think we'd have been home and dry. The game would have been totally different, and I think we'd have seen substitutions inviting players to stake a claim.

At that point we were totally dominant.

    We just need a break.

For me, this season is done with. I think we're down, so I'd like to see players stake their claim for next season. The re-build needs to start now.

I can't agree Fi. We were in total control, over a very average looking Division 3 team. Nothing to do with breaks IMO. The most unprofessional, rank bad 45 minutes I remember seeing. They deserved every boo they got at full time. They should hang their heads in shame. But they won't. As for next season - they don't have the minerals.

You don't agree that if that ball goes in the net, as opposed to bouncing out, it's a different game?

It's all about confidence. You could almost see it disappear in the second half. If we score with Tommy's curler, we are, for the first time in ages a) winning at home, b) winning by 2 goals and c) playing well. I think we could have gone on to hammer them. But the ball bounces back.

Yes, they deserved every boo they got, because they just rolled over and died.

That's conjecture though Fi. We should have motored on and got the second anyway, regardless of Tommy's effort. You don't just stop, because you hit the post. We should have gone on and finished the game in the second half, but instead we put in the most inept performance you could imagine, and rightly lost the game. I think we agree with other, in a roundabout way.

If I was manager, we would need a new set of crockery tomorrow morning.

I agree with all that. We're not ruthless enough. But successful teams have a lot of luck, and those at the bottom have sod all.

Last season we had a fortunate win in the FA Cup 3rd round. It kick started something. To me, this lot have lost their bottle.

Had Hignett taken the penalty instead of Barnard and all that...

Comes to a point where it's not about luck or fine margins, it's about being sh*te, and admitting it.

This is why I would have gone for Warnock, personally. I don't want to hear how great they are anymore. I want old school, medieval $hit. They're a fcukin disgrace and they need to man the **** up.

Sorry kids, i'm still v annoyed.
