I hate flit croft and hill for signing these toss players. I'm done until the lot of them are gone. ****ing ****ers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Answer me this. Why the **** should we bother when they god awful players couldn't give a ferk? Hope I've touched a nerve too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Whose nerves do you hope you've touched? We've seen much darker days than this as BFC fans, but if you can't hack it and don't want to get behind them then there's no point in you turning up. Enjoy your free weekends.
The sad thing is you are actually bang on the money. Fans have been staying away from Oakwell since Keith Hill took charge. Wilson is going to need time to sort this mess out. He can't suddenly sell 15 players whilst at the same time sign a new squad. And who is going to want to join a club sitting at the bottom of the table and heading to league 1. We all need to be patient and let him sort it out. I think he will and I am confident that he wont sign the 'quality' of professional footballer that Hill and Flitcroft signed. It took Hill and Flitcroft 3 seasons to build this awful squad. It is likely to take Wilson 2 seasons to build a new one. Stick with them, once a red always a red.
I am not defending Hill and Flicker..but they where only working under the owners orders to cut the wage bill unilaterally, which Mark Robins would not do..Looks like Robbo was right, cos through that ....unilateral... course of action this is where we are..
If we stay up I'll stick with it. But go down and and I'm not doing that again. Can't think of a worse way to spend a Saturday than in a soulless Oakwell against Rochdale or Shrewsbury.
I'm 26 and since following BFC we've been in administration thinking we wouldn't have a football club to support for much longer. We nearly dropped down in to League Two but for Isaiah Rankin's last gasp winner against Brentford. There's two examples of much darker days.
Don't get me wrong, but I'm struggling to see how we're going to get out of this. At least we'll still have a football club to support though.
I've watched them for 30 years and can't recall a larger bunch of spineless, inept bottlers masquerading as footballers since we went down with a whimper to Norwich at home 11 years ago. The lower league management have brought this about and cryne and the then board should hang their heads at not giving Mark Robins that little extra backing 3 years back when we were finally starting to make progress again in this league instead of plumping for the £1 shop option of management. You reap what you sow Patrick owd boy!
I was trying to think earlier whether that team that played that day against Norwich was worse than this one and I don't think they were, not by a long shot.
Things have been worse - near the bottom of the second division , administration , ownership mess etc - part of being a football supporter . You have to accept the good times and the bad - no it's awful at the moment but being a 'mug' I'll be back for more despite what division we maybe in! Wish the players knew how much this is hurting people though - no pits to take them down anymore though
Thinking about it, your probably right cos had we shown up and beaten Norwich i think we could've stayed up on the last day of the season that year. We will be as good as down before the easter egg hunt at this rate!
Call yourself a supporter? Bad result and performance today mate. But really it's at times like these that the club needs you more than ever. My team are going through a sticky spell ATM and TBH I worry for tomorrows result. Should it all go Pete Tong and our losing run goes to 4 in a row I will most definitely be devestated and shout and critisise the players, which is my right. But I'm a United supporter and will be there for them next game because that is what we do. Keep the faith mate. It might just work out all right.
Can remember that game like it was yesterday, sat right at the back of the Ponte, nervous about the game and also nervous about a date I had with a bird that evening. Unfortunately both the date and the game ended in a whimper
