Off for a Sunday dinner today, and never been before. What sort of attire is appropriate? Smart jeans and jumper? Proper trousers with shirt and tie?

    Thanks

    (prices look ridiculous tho).

I haven't been for a while but the food was really nice. Go smart and treat yourself!

Ive recently been with the old bread knife, we went on a friday night. Very nice snap but a little over priced but it doesent hurt every now and then to treat yourself. It actually was a dining experience more than anything as ive never really had that level of food but we both enjoyed it. Im not sure there is a dress code but you would look a bit of a tool if you ropped up in a tracksuit. Nice jeans and a smart polo shirt should do the trick mate. Enjoy!!

Thanks very much guys for the info, especially Stevie Cooper above. It was a lovely Sunday dinner, just glad I wasn't paying! Christ that is one expensive place, but food was bang on!

Total rip off and you can get just as good a Sunday dinner at the Cherry Tree in High Hoyland for half the price.
They just call it roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and mash rather than mirabelles of Rob Royd tender beef loin, home-made chef's recipe Yorkshire pudding and buttered mashed maris piper potatoes.
