Not every member of the board reads and memorises every post and poster so you may have established it in one thread but you can't assume everyone that reads any subsequent thread will know it. Perhaps you could point it out in your status? This isn't intended as a dig - I'm very happy that sensible supporters of other teams post on here but it's reasonable to expect a bit of confusion if you use words like "we" on a Barnsley forum and assume everyone knows that you mean Rochdale.
In a word, yes. Particularly at Huddersfield where you had a ticket, probably at the expense of a genuine barnsley fan who could not get a ticket.
Apologies 442, it might have been established before but in my defence from how this thread went I thought you were a Barnsley fan, there are some names of non-reds fans I recognise (e.g. Bluebird) but that's usually because it's in the name. Congratulations on a great result for your boys today, that cheered me up a bit, and good luck for the rest of the season. I just hope we aren't playing you next season!
I think it's great fans of other clubs post on this board, we've had a few smashing people over the years. I know I tortured that Man City fan last year but he took it well.
Probably not. He was sat in the Huddersfield end. But you carry on trying to dictate who can post on here, and what they must post about.
There's nothing wrong with fans of other clubs posting on here, I'm a regular on a Motherwell FC board myself. There does seem a lot of ill feeling towards AFC Rochdale, rightly or wrongly, and unfortunately "442" seems to be getting the brunt of it.
I hope this means we're signing a right back to replace him cos we can't spend half a season with Cranie at right back, it's bad enough having Kennedy at left back!
Thing is, John, the Rochdale supporters have more right to feel aggrieved than we do. They were at the peak of their powers before our board came and poached Hillcroft. They've been relegated and endured some right gash since. And it's not the first time we've done it to them either. And so I can't blame 442 or his kind for pointing out the great work achieved once more by Keith at his club. Found his level? Perhaps. But then, he's practically rebuilt a squad there. On a nothing budget. Some skill involved in that. As there is in getting that squad to play the brand of football he wants. Fact remains, he also built us a squad that played similar football, in the space of a few months and had us dreaming of the playoffs. It can't be coincidence, or pure luck. But indeed, he failed throughout 2012. Although there's more to that than meets the eye. He did fail, though. With what he was given to work with. And even I wanted shut of him eventually. But I'll always believe we backed the wrong horse in Flitcroft. We cut Robins' budget and lost him. We then gave Keith **** all to work with and fired him for not producing miracles. The buck stops with our board, our owner especially. He (or they) are to blame for Robins' departure, Keith and Flitcroft's appointments, the selling of Stones, Vaz and Butterfield for peanuts etc. This ******* brand refresh. The scoreboard, ticket prices, supporter apathy, and what now looks like an inevitable relegation. But folk prefer to blame Keith (ignoring the money he made for us), or Rochdale. Or Robins' football. Flitcroft's ditching of 3-5-2. Me supporting Rochdale or Jacob. David Cameron. The Beautiful South. Longley Farm yoghurts. **** the meeting with Danny and the monkey (Mansford). It's about time the supporters had a sit down with the owner. It's time for some honesty.
Back to the topic... I like Wiseman, he's had a couple of shocking games yes, but I feel he's by far not the worst. He's also got the pace Danny has been calling out for. I would get shut of loads before I let him go.
