Davey is an interesting manager. Although by no means one of the best at least he gave us a fantastic cup run and that made me glad over a couple of months to be a Barnsley fan. Also comparing the calibre of players that was recruited under his stewardship I have real affection for them. I can't say that of any of Keef's signings really other than Vaz ate who cane and went. Hart crap manager I agree but working under difficult and uncertain circumstances. Spackman like I said rubbish but a nice bloke. Flitcroft gave us 5 months of what being a fan is about and I will always think of him fondly for that. Keef anybody can be the big I am at Rochdale at a bigger club he failed
Anderson signed Bullock and Shez so I can forgive him a bit for that. Also the boldness of appointing appointing Anderson in those nastier more racist times gets a bonus point shame it didn't work too well.
Simon Davey, now scouting at Falkirk. Says it all. If you're saying Flitcroft's four months last season is what you'll remember and think of him fondly for it, then that's also my opinion. But I also think of Keith's first four months fondly. He cannot be blamed for the **** that then ruined it in January 2012. We can all pick out good spells in each managers tenure. Parkin for instance, didn't we go 10 games unbeaten at one stage, even beat Wednesday 3-0. But I deem Flitcroft's four months this season as a lot worse than Keith's final four months. Unlike Keith, (but much like Davey) he got everything he asked for, and then oversaw the worst start to a BFC season ever. We're basically arguing the toss over ****, shitty and ***** here, aren't we? Luckily, we've got the best manager we've ever had back in charge. I just hope folk realise that when they're blaming him next week for choosing Perkins over Dawson, or Wiseman over Ramage.
Whitey , just post that ***** on the Rochdale board, It has absolutely no relevance to Barnsley Football Club, plus the fact he is wrong, he has a good record at a ***** club.
Other than a Vaz Te inspired couple of months. The entire reign of Hill was abject. Take those wins out of his 19 and his record would be absolutely abysmal rather than just shameful.
I have no doubt that reading these comments would make his head swell a bit more than usual. Sidney would definitely be going swimming after an hour reading this board.
Other than a COG inspired couple of months, the entire reign of Flitcroft was abject. Take those wins out and his record would be absolutely abysmal rather than just shameful. If you seriously think it was merely Vaz Te inspiring that run of form, then I give in. I know I'm biased, but I think Butterfield was more influential. Vaz was still here for a few games in January and did little of note.
Perhaps he does, mate. But I do know he was scouting for Falkirk this Summer. Maybe he's doing both. But still, he's not in management is he? And it wasn't just here where he ****** up.
I'll do as I usually do mate and let you know in advance of a home game. Much depends on finances, apathy, employment, r lasses wants and needs etc. Unfortunately, despite I'm Spartacus suggesting otherwise, life equals a lot more to me than purely BFC.
Simon Davey was voted Hereford United's worst manager in their history. Now that is some accolade for one'a CV.
