I can't appeal against the loss of my benefit as they forgot to tell me when I was put on this new benefit the appeal period is 4 weeks, after that its hard lines. BUT I do have my private pension................... so after paying essentials and I mean essentials not one penny on enjoyment I am left with £3.06 per day to eat .So if I need a new toothbrush... I go hungry.

just a thought here, this cutting back on benefits hasn't just happened under this lot,it happened under labour aswell.

I was thrown of invalidity benefit, despite having 15 pins in my leg from a bike accident,no weight baring for 6 months, wheelchair use during this time, then crutches for nearly two years.During this time(three months after the bike accident) I had cancer in my back,so had a hole the size of my fist and six skin grafts to try and make it look something like. They told me I worked for myself and was fit to do my ordering and bookwork.
the accident was in june 2000 and they threw me off twelve months later, while still needing crutches.
I still walk with a limp and suffer terrible back pain even now.
don't just think its the tories who don't give a **** because it aint.
I've also got osteophytes in my spine from C4 to c7(I think that the numbers) which cause sciatica and muscle spasms in my shoulder and my knees are shagged, all this as a result of my life down the pit before I went into business.
I used to run a post office as part of my shop and witnessed first hand the amount of pillocking going off with fake illness and injury, one bloke I know hadn't worked for nearly 20 years because of arthritis in his hand but after being told to get a job he went working as a pub doorman,he now works at one of the big distribution centres.
its the wnakers that have ruined it for the genuine cases, something needed doing and theres no easy solution and its a shame for genuine people such as the OP of this thread.

the thing is with me is some days I'm fine I even go biking ( apparently the bend whilst riding lines all the crap in my back up so it eases the pain, but knocks lumps out of my knee) other days I can hardly walk, so how can I consistently hold a job down, as you know yourself with the back injuries, its hit and miss, all of this has been proven with ct/mri scans and those weird dye injections to show the fractures in the vertebrae. I'm 57 years old so whos going to retrain me toget a possible 8/10 years to do a job that I can sometimes do and other days cant ????????
