Couldn't book on for this today due to being away for the weekend. Could we not 'broadcast' this via the BFC Youtube link used for Danny's appointment press conference? There's a job of reassurance to be done at the moment, considering the club's position. If Danny/Ben are able to offer that reassurance, the wider it is broadcast (among ST and non-ST holders) the better it will be for the club in terms of short and medium term support.
I can't make Thursday's so it would certainly be nice if the footage could be made available on BarnsleyPlayer. Does anyone know if that is going to happen?
it will definitely be made available on Player and/or YouTube. whether or not they will stream it, is another matter. streaming tends to cost more and is more prone to 'technical issues'. they may also want to promote this as an ST benefit, and streaming it real time may take the edge off that. we did it last time for flicker's love-in i'd definitely like someone within our own ranks to provide real time updates though. either through here or the Twitters
Yeah but we have 7/8000 ST holders who can't all make it. Surely it would make sense to broadcast it. I'm not saying stream it real time, but at least record it. Would like to see some of questions they get asked and the responses, especially if they start getting bashed if the natives get restless. Reckon Springvale Red May get a bit irate.......
it will definitely get put up after. but like you say, you can't really control live streams. another very good reason why they might not go for it.
Don't see why it would cost any more to stream it, it's just an upload to the internet, the Wilson press conference worked quite well.
I'm in a meeting at Mirfield while 5 and 5 lessons the day after. Doubt I'll see my bed Thursday, let alone Oakwell. Have a good un on Saturday. Have a look and see if they've repaired any of the bust windows in that dodgy boozer we went in last year. Think it was called the Antigallican. Only pub I've been in where you can see into the car park between the window frame and the wall. Good times.
I'd prefer them to talk candidly to those present (Not me, I haven't got a ticket) rather than toeing the party line because it's being broadcast. Best way in the world to get someone to clam up is by putting a camera in their face. We'll not learn anything if it's broadcast. Tons more people will see it, but no one will say owt worth repeating. Quite the opposite, people will get munk on because everyone will be so diplomatic. To a small group, when it's supposedly off the record, they'll be far more open and we'll all get to know what was said, one way or another.
if that's the intention, it won't make a difference anyway. they'll just tow the party line knowing it's going up on player the day after. the event will won't be anything like off the record
I'm suggesting no cameras at all, and no microphones. Everyone knows that what they say in a meeting will be repeated to others, but it's not the same as having what you've said on tape. Being recorded and broadcast later is slightly better than live as it can still be edited, but we'll still get to know next to nothing. It'll just be pleasantries, where as if it wasn't being taped there might be some meat to the discussion.
disagree with that, personally. there are c8000 ST holders out there, and they all deserve to know what's said. sure fire way to alienate the vast majority who couldn't get there. would be a PR disaster
Agree with Jay on this - PLUS..........we don't or shouldn't have any camaras about when there are very likely to be Ming Mong Barnsley fans making up most of the audience. Although I wasn't present the guys who witnessed the Tykes on Tour sessions will probably agree with this. All it needs is some one to take the minutes of the meeting and post them on here.
