Evening all, as everyone's probably bored to death with the 'Next Manager' debate I thought Id let you all know that I released my 'My Sports Diary' App to the Android market and thanks to the success I've had in the last 3 months on iOS I've now made this FREE to everyone.

The App has had some great reviews and sill holds a 5 star app rating so as its free there is no excuse to try it? Obviously everyone will select Barnsley as their favourite team to get the fixtures but for those interested in other Sports there are more than 32,000 events available across multiple Sports and I am adding more regularly (Horse racing, Greyhounds, Tennis to be added in the next couple of weeks!)

For those that want it on iPhone or iPad here's a link to the App store: http://itunes.com/apps/mysportsdiary

For Android users its on Google Play here: http://bit.ly/IU3Eqk

For anyone who still isn't convinced I've also put together a YouTube video ......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9CJBTkyaaA

Please feel free to give it a 5 star rating ....Or let me know by PM on here if you think I can make it better to achieve 5 star!

    Enjoy

PS. Feel free to help share the app with all you know too. (I'm on facebook and twitter with My Sports Diary)

Thanks to all who have downloaded it .... For info Everton still the top followed Footy team !!!!

Is there an update needed for Android? I'm trying to download it for a Nexus and it's telling me it's incompatible with the device.

I'm not aware of an issue with any of the Nexus devices, I have one here that works fine. Can you let me know which device it is and if you know what version of Android it's running on?

I'll not get chance to look into the problem until Monday tho, I expect to be in Courthouse in 8 hours and therefore not fit for much else after match!!

It's a Nexus 7 (new model) and it's running on Android version 4.4.2.

    Thank you.

Glad you like it pal, much more to come with the app and any 5 star ratings on both iOS and Android are certainly helping to get the app out there!

With regards your query it is something I considered doing (Actually its how initially I had the concept) however in its current state as a separate app it is much easier to manage and maintain and obviously provides better display capabilities for the current content such as the current interactive maps, directions and images within the app.

I've certainly not dismissed the idea and it its still on my story board to look into later in 2014, it could work well alongside the current capability to share an event with Facebook, twitter or email. Watch this space some pretty major updates and additions early in the New Year, hopefully the first of the additions will hit the app next week with the launch of Horse racing meetings for every course in the UK.

Mario can you try again with you Nexus 7, not sure what the problem is (I've included some Tablet graphics on the app store to see if that's why it wouldn't attempt to download it for you).

Let me know if it works or not!

I've just tried it and sadly still no change. If I follow the link in this thread I can find the app without a problem but it is incompatible however if I try to find it via a search in the app store it just doesn't exist (presumably because its incompatible). Not sure if this is relevant or not.

Sorry pal, I'll have to try and get hold of a Nexus7 and have a better look. Similar scenario with how the app shows for you also occurs on Apple too ...if you search for the app in the App Store on an iPad you cant see the app (as its predominantly a phone app) but the app store lets you switch to see iphone apps. Then it downloads and works fine.

Soon as ive got horse racing into the app this week and a release including results next week ill take a better look at this issue then. I'll keep you posted, thanks.
