I'd imagine you could quite easily count the number of public statements, of his whole stewardship, on the fingers of one hand...He employs others to do the talking.
Can't see why he would unless there was a major major announcement such as selling up or a share issue. The day to day is correctly handled by people he employs.
To be fair, he brought in Ben Mansford to do exactly that for him, so he doesn't have to. And if something is really important, then there's Maurice Watkins. You're all too familiar with my feelings about Patrick Cryne, but I think some of the criticism he's been receiving on here recently is way off the mark. That's not to say he's above criticism, no one is, but I think the majority of it is misdirected. He's put £millions in to our club, he didn't have to put in a penny, we shouldn't expect another, so just to aim a scatter gun at him and hope he gets caught in the fire is a bit off in my opinion. If there's a specific criticism of what he has or has not done, then fine, but I haven't read one yet. Not that the above is a criticism, it's a question, but you sort of get the feeling where this thread might go.
I'm certainly not having a go at him, I just had a bit of a daft idea for the fanzine. I remember a couple of statements from him when he became owner but nothing else and wondered when he last put his name to something.
I believe he put out statements after Robins left the club. I think that was the last time, but I'm probably wrong on both points.
i'm very thankful for having PC at the club, and also agree he employs maurice and ben in particular, to be the mouthpiece. but ultimately he is still the owner, and in such turbulent times i do think he should reach out to the fans. ben & the manager have repeatedly said they speak with him every week, so he's not to ill to dictate a written statement.
I thought so too but I can't find the statement on the official site. All the other references to it say 'The Board.
The last time I remember was when we sold Adam Hammil, basically saying if it wasn't for Daveys hard work and the release clause we would never have signed him
