Did well in Melbourne but was badly let down by the rest of the team and couldn't trust the tail at all. Rest of the series was average at best.

There must have been conflicting punditry on The Verdict, he's in a quandary about which to use right now.

 

i don't take my opinion from them, I have my opinion and 99% of it's said by the knowledgeable presenters like Andrew Strauss.

Same with the Football I will think something and if I'm with someone I will say it out loud and then normally 5 minutes later a commentator says the same thing.

It's not my fault, they seem to always say the same things after me.

Compton says when he was in India it was KP that helped him the most. Vaughan when he says he speaks to the younger players its KP who will help them the most.......

 

Just thought I would come back to this thread to make sure it was real. Yep.

 

I enjoy watching the Verdict but the fact that Butcher/Trescothick's England teams for the first test of the Ashes in 2015 were almost the same as the team for the Ashes that we've just lost was incredible.

Cook, Root, Bell, Pietersen, Ballance, Stokes, Prior, Borthwick, Broad, Anderson, Finn was the team they pretty much picked - I think Butcher might have had Jordan instead of Anderson.

If that's still the team in 2015 we'll be in some bother.

 

Not much competition for places at the moment think Matt Prior was just hitting form when dropped, Bopara and Morgan have been a little disappointing but have the class and temprement Gary Ballance is not test match quality yet, Abdul Rashid cant be far away and Nick Compton needs to be reconsidered. No young fast bowlers knocking on the door though lack of under 25 talent. Much better prospects in Ladies Ashes.

 

There won't be massive changes I don't think. The England players are still excellent players.

I think the team for the first will be something like, Cook(C) Root Robson/Trott KP Bell Stokes Prior/Bairstow borthwick Broad Anderson Finn/ Mills/ Overton
