It's the star who generally don't go anywhere near the football club. Even on match days!

The will have read it elsewhere and chucked in some assumptions probably

"Mr Cryne has put a lot of money into this club and it’s down to his generosity where it is today. We’ve got to be truly thankful that he wants to help.”

“He fully understands the dilemma we’re in and he knows how important it is to try and stay in this division."

Think twice before having a pop at Cryne. Without him we'd be in even more shi.t.

The one we're close with will be Lawrence won't it?

A new left back is the most pivotal position we need sorting IMO.

I cannot for the life in me understand why a single Barnsley fan should ever want to have a pop at him. Sheer lunacy.

    Neither can I.

Maybe it's just sheer frustration when things aren't going to plan ie. have a pop at everyone (players, manager, coaching staff, Mansford.........and when the list is exhausted, let's have a go at Cryne).

    Brainless.

Cyrne is and will always be a hero in my eyes. Where the **** would we be without him?!

You can't slag the bloke off that stopped the club from going bust!

As Danny says we should be thankful that Cryne puts his money into the club. The criticism of him is rather distasteful IMO.

What has he done so far to deserve any criticism?

Agreed. He's not perfect but he's done far more good for the club than bad, I will never criticise his input into the club, for there would quite possibly be no club if it wasn't for Mr. Cryne.

I don't think he's beyond criticism, in fact some of his decisions have been very questionable, sacking Thordarson ,bringing Ridsdale in, monumental mistake of sacking instead of backing Robins but his financial support ( to the club not his donations to the Torys)can't be criticised

    Patrick Cryne can't win

He puts £6m of his own money into the club and some people complain he hasn't put in £8m. If he puts in £8m, then the complaint is it should be £10m and when it's £10m, why hasn't he put in £15m? Gratitude for putting more money into the club than anyone else in our history? None, from some. That was in the past and the past apparently doesn't count. It never ceases to amaze me how often this multi millionaire FAN, having injected millions of his own money, is still criticised by 'experts' who know how to spend his money better than he does.

As Durkar Red says, some of the decisions have been questionable. My opinion of course but I think the Club has stagnated both on and off the field since we returned to the Championship.

I've not said I'm not grateful at all. And I haven't said I'm an expert either, this is a forum for opinions is it not? My opinion is the club has gone nowhere for 6 years

I wasn't aware I was criticising you, or your opinions? Perhaps you could point out where I have? I was replying to a post by Googs and also expressing my opinion. I'm well aware of what this forum is for.

Apparently money puts you above any criticism, I guess everyone on here thinks Cardiff fans should pipe down and get on with worshipping Tan?

I think it's fair to say that we could have done better- we have thrown money at our squad in the past and it's never worked. Then we didn't throw money at it and did make it work- certainly in terms of staying in the league.

Football is far to complicated for cudda/wudda/shudda's - I am just glad we have stayed in the league to date and had some great times along the way- not least an FA Cup Semi Final and other Qtr Final.

Cryne just provides the funds, it's down to the club's employees to best use them. No blame on Cryne for that.

You're comparing Patrick Cryne & Tan at Cardiff? Really?
