I have no problem with straight men - if they want to tell the world that they are heterosexual that's fine by me - it may be that they feel that to keep something as important as their sexuality hidden makes it difficult to be honest and open in any friendships they may have. If they choose to keep that quiet that is also fine by me. I totally accept straight men and would never verbally abuse one of them. I don't think I'd have a problem with supporting a straight footballer nor would it be a problem if I shared a dressing room with one. If I'm being a tad patronising or giving the impression that straight men are inferior I apologise!
I think the point is, does it really matter if people are straight or gay??, why do people need to know either way, straight people do not broadcast that they are straight, so why should gay people broadcast it as well. It doesn't really matter, big shock horror that ex villa player that is now retired has come out as gay, why all the fuss!!! then they want to know why all the other footballers haven't come out, well one reason could be the hammer they would get on the weekend (excuse the pun) or could it possibly be that there just aren't that many gay footballers?? I for one do not care, and I am sure there are millions of other people that have no interest whatsoever in someone else's sexuality
Re: Ernie Wise I guess it misses the point of whether you felt like you had to hideaway because of the prejudices of others or because it would affect you negatively at work.
Been gay isn't normal IMO, but a don't mind gays or treat them any different, it's there choice. It's the all bum hole situation that makes me abit puzzled, the wiff of ****.
There really is NO point in this thread, as all he posted here could have been said in the thread he was attempting to parody !!
