I for one, would be disappointed if that's true. He had it in him to be good in the Championship. Too much bad coaching by the dynamic duo.

And the same manager who got us promoted to the premier league on less than a million quid. Exactly, what would you expect? :D

    Laughing.

What about Arajan De Zeeuw and John Hendrie and Paul Wilkinson and Matty Appleby and Neil Thopson and Jovo Bosancic and Clint Marcelle and Ashley Ward and Jan Age Fjortoft?

I don't think he was desperate to sign Regis either like, he sold Rammell to Southend for £100,000 and they made sure we took Regis off their hands as part of the deal.

This. One of the most improved players in the squad IMO. He seems to have dipped a bit recently (I have my theory on why this is the case) but he has shown enough potential to be kept here.

the fact we are letting a contracted player go on a free is the crazy part, we even got money for Dwayne Mattis...

Completely agree. Some may think I'm going too far here but I certainly think up until the last few games he has been one of our better performers this season. Can only really think of Cranie who has been better.

What we lose in an nominal fee we save on wages. Let's get rid of the dross any way we can.

Barring a few notable exceptions, I'd let the majority of our squad leave on a free if someone would take them. We could argue about which ones are worth some money and which aren't, but the reality is we're bottom of the league and have only won 3 matches all season. The reason for that is our players aren't very good and, contracted to us or not, poor players aren't worth any money. They're not worth their place in the team either, they'll get us relegated, so if we can get them off the wage books then that's fine by me. I don't even care if we don't get replacements, I'd prefer us to, but if not I'd play whatever we've got in the way of kids, because we simply cannot get any worse.

Anyway, we don't even know for sure if Wiseman has gone yet, never mind the fee.

Best of luck to him in his future endeavours.
I'm not going to offer an opinion on this because Jay posted a quite exceptional summary on Wiseman yesterday that I agreed with 100%, and again above, has further saved me a job with another good post on the subject.
So yes, good luck to Wiseman at PNE.

in my opinion had 2 bad games this season. If i had a list of players to get rid of, there would be quite a few player below Wiseman. Kennedy would be rock bottom.

Normally Jay I pretty much agree with most of your posts, if not I do love to read them anyway. Although, I presume, this one may have been slightly tongue-in-cheek, I just don't think I can agree with this. Is this not pretty much the same bunch of players that had a phenomenal run of form during the 2nd half of last season, ultimately leading to survival? I think it's pretty easy just now to see that we are not good enough, but surely this bunch of players have proved that they are up to Championship football, just at the moment not showing it? I just think a couple of key additions in the right areas could see a vast improvement in our fortunes.

Then again the glasses I currently have on have a rose-tint, and my cuppa is half full

Wiseman more than the vast majority is a confidence player.

When confident, when playing well, as he can do for periods at a time, he is easily worth a berth in the Championship.

It's far too easy to say that all our players are crap.

They need guidance and proper organisation. That brings confidence and you go from there.

It is not just about how good your players are. It is about how well they play, in a team.

Whether DW can do owt remains to be seen. Little yet has happened.
