We let a player go on a permanent transfer and bring in a loan in WTF.

Unless hes hoping to make one of the others from a loan to a permanent transfer we've been done.

We need some extra bite in midfield, we need a another striker, we need another Left back. maybe we need another goalkeeper because Steele could be out injured at any time.

Yet hes p*ssing about bringing in a u20 right back from Liverpool. Great

Also it looks like we'll be giving another clubs youngsters a chance but never our own.

On the face of it, you have a point - but let's see when all is done and dusted. There may be other things going off we don't know about yet.

have faith my friend, we don't know what's fully going on, like it's been mentioned things are getting done and keeps cards close to chest.

there's still a long way to go in the transfer window and I am sure we will be ok.

How exactly have we been done?? We have let a player go who hasn't been performing, we are no longer paying God knows how much in wages and we have brought a highly rated 19 year old in on loan for probably little wage contribution

I'll tell you what wasn't good for Barnsley football club, carrying on as we were. We're in a right mess, the team's crap, we're bottom of the table 5 points away from safety and we're going down. If this is the start of the big shake up that we desperately need then bring it on.

The squad is too big, and not with much quality. The players we have are League 1 & 2 players on big wages. Nobody is going to give us a fee + match the wages we pay.

Wilson is going to have to wheel and deal. Some players going out may not be what we'd choose but don't think we have too many options.

I see your point Phil but can they be any worse than what we have already? Danny is trying to keep us up and without wanting to point out the obvious its going to be an uphill struggle. The only certainty I can see is that if Danny doesn't make changes we are definitely going down so lets allow him to make the changes he feels are needed. Personally I like Scott but I trust Danny to make the decisions needed.

Thing is, contracted players don't have to go if they don't want to. Kennedy could dig his heels in and stay here for another 18 months. He's on 4k a week, who wouldn't?

    Danny knows.

I imagine Danny has to knock some chunks off the wage bill if he wants to bring anyone in. Considering Wiseman would probably have left in the Summer on a free anyway we've got shut of his wages early and brought in a lad on a youth loan which I imagine means lot less wages. If Danny thinks he's a better player than Wiseman in the short term then it's fair game (IMHO).

Calm down, Phil. Danny is having to cobble together a side good enough to fight off relegation whilst simultaneously look ahead to the Summer rebuild. We have more than half a squad out of contract in 5 months time, a lot of them won't command a transfer fee especially if other clubs know we aren't retaining them.
Danny obviously doesn't rate Wiseman and PNE want him now. We save on 5 months of wages on a player unlikely to play, and Danny uses some of that to recruit a very highly rated replacement.
He's got so much to do I quite honestly think that if we stay up he deserves that statue we once talked about. Survival this season would be miraculous. And Danny deals in miracles. Get behind him.
