Cool ya jets. Who the **** is gonna pay for him? Wilson obviously doesn't rate him and it's another wage off the bill. It happens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No wonder we haven't finished out of the bottom four while Scott's been here. We'd have been relegated without him. OUR BEST PLAYER FOR **** SAKE.
Who's the best player that we're giving away? I've not heard anything about Cranie, O'Grady, Steele or Mellis going on a freebie? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So surely by saying that you want Hassell and Steele out aswell because they have been part of a squad for 5 years plus that hasn't done anything. One never been the best in the team in his position.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010-11_Barnsley_F.C._season#Squad I'm struggling to see a better right back amongst that lot, unless it's your mate Kern Miller.
Wiseman isn't good enough, but then again the majority of our side isn't good enough, as assembled by Hill/Flicker. If we are to survive (by miracle) we need to freshen the side up immediately, not in the summer but NOW. We need four new players in our starting eleven, who need to bring pace, experience, fight and technical ability. This young lad we're bringing in give him a chance, Lawrence IF FIT will bring the experience and bit of class on the ball we need. Another Centre half and a Striker and lets go for it. If we go down, then so be it.
Fair enough, can't argue with that one, forgot it was that season we had him. The seasons before that he was clearly the best though.
I know your thoughts on them both Phil but there are a lot of fans, me included, who regard Bobby and Luke as two of our better players. We definitely need them both in our fight against relegation.
No, I'm not surely saying that. Bobby Hassell has only played about 30 of the last 100 games and yet he has the best win percentage of our current players. So if anything, had he been a regular starter in the other 80 games we'd have been further up the table each season. Stats suggest so. As do his performances when selected. We are just a better side when he plays. . Luke Steele meanwhile has been pretty much the most consistent player during the last few years and key in my opinion to us staying up. So no, I don't agree with you Phil. . I believe that had Steele and Hassell not played at all in the last few years we'd have been relegated ages ago. . As for the remark about best in his position, I trust a former player and teammate of Hassell to be a better judge than you or I, and he believes Bobby is the best defender he's ever played with. And he's played with a few in the last 12 months. He's also a good mate of Kieran Trippier's, they holiday together, and Tripps would be the first to admit he's not a better defender than Bobby. Tripps is an attacking full back though, so it's never a fair comparison. . As I've said before, you'll be right about Bobby one day. But you are wrong now, and have been for years. Must sting you knowing he has out-lasted your beloved Wiseman. And that your hero John Stones credits Bobby for much of his development.
Wish we kept Muller instead of Steele. On Hassell 2006/2007 season was the only time hes been the best right back at the club which is shocking for a player at the club for so long. We've had Foster at right back who played the role very well. Then we had Shotton Then Tripper Than Wiseman then Stones became the number one right back when he left Wiseman became the best right back at the club. I don't care what someone thinks, they aren't the manager. Davey Robins Hill Flitcroft Wilson. Never been number one at right back. Robins brought right back after right back in to the club so he didn't have to play him.
